I really appreciate this sample teaching demo. The application video is where I'm stuck. Update: I applied and was approved within about 5 minutes! I'm very grateful. I used your approach of asking two questions and receiving three responses each. Thank you!
I hope that happens with me. I’m an administrator and it’s been 5 years since I’ve been in the classroom. But with 3 educational degrees and an entire RUclips channel to help teachers , I pray it’s an easy process.shout out to you. Do you like it?
@@EverythingAJA I would not say it was easy for me. I can say I paid attention to the tips on OS. I had bullet points because the application question reads 'list', so I listed. But the OS site has a page with example answers for each question labeled from ok to great to needs work. That might not be exact. I followed the examples and made changes. . . several changes. Then with the video, it wasn't one take and submit. It was several takes. SEVERAL! So although the acceptance was quick, the efforts were for me, effort. Do I like it? : It's been a slow beginning. I now have 4 classes offered and am working on tweaking them from the beginning. I have only taught one student and it left room for much improvement. That experience led me to create two additional classes at more beginning levels. So, there is a lot of work to be done and I enjoyed the one student I've worked with. I'm noticing that the teacher experiences are as individual as the people. I have no doubt you'll do great, and it will take work. Hopefully, you'll enjoy the process.
@@rocio2917 thanks for this. I plan on submitting later this week. I have my application done, I’m just missing the video. I hope your student enrollment picks up. I pray that people take my class.
Thanks for making these videos. I have a feeling many online ESL teachers will be applying to Outschool now that China has made new regulations about foreign teachers not being able to teach Chinese students starting soon...I have been interested in Outschool, and your videos are encouraging. Thank you!
Thank you for all the helpful information. I have so many questions as I prepare to leave my classroom this year and am looking at Outschool as a new venture.
Lol I can't tell you how many times I watched this before submitting my video. Thank you so much for the information and your help! Hope you are doing well :)
Thank you for this video. I have been stuck on my application for so long because I have way too much written for the first question and then the last question to me feels like it includes a lot of the first question. Craziness. But I am determined to finish it today.
@@teacherdanielonline I imagine it's a similar set up but I was just wondering whether to use slides for my application. Thank you for all your videos on Outschool by the way!
@@bethanygibbons3779 oh! Gotcha. You can go either way with it. I like just doing the camera without the slides, but others have had success with slides.
Of all the teaching business channels I’ve seen so far, yours seems to me to be the most legitimate and least clickbaity. Cheers for that 🎉

Thank you for sharing! I am considering giving the application another try now that I have watched this video.
Good luck! It can be frustrating to get that denied email, but it’s not the end of the road.
Thanks for sharing. You are doing great!
Appreciate it!
Great tips! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Mandy!
Thanks I’ve been wanting to work here for awhile. I want to learn zoom more and get more tech savvy. WiFi wasn’t the best .
No problem. Thanks for watching.
Great video!
Thanks, Camille!
Ive been applying but cant seem too get excepted.
Sent you an email!
I often use SMART notebook when teaching in class. Would you suggest using slides in an application video (with camera) or just the camera like yours?
I don’t know much about SMART notebooks. I just use google slides and share my screen on Zoom as I go through the presentation.

Can I pick you still for my referral. The one i pick is not responding to my emails.
You can, you would just have to make a new Outschool account with a new email address. Make sure to email me if you go this route!
Hey, I'm not able to upload my video on teacher application through my Android. Need suggestions please.
The file must be under 100MB.
Does it have to be a one time class or can it be a course?
It can be a one-time class or it can be an ongoing/multi-day course.
If I have already started the application process is it to late to add a referring teacher?
You can log out of your current Outschool account, click the referring teacher's link, and sign up again with a new email address.
Im interested in applying Outschool but Im a Filipino teacher am I allowed to apply? Thanks for the response
Outschool requires their teachers to live full-time in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England or Wales.
Aw thanks for replying teacher Daniel💗
