- Vox Americana are another truly excellent Staffordshire band with an obvious lean towards American style music. This is probably because their lead singer/songwriter is an American by the name of Helen Walford. Helen formed Vox Americana with Emily Baily on Cajon and Hollie Lewis on Double Bass a couple of years ago as Americana bands were mostly male and she wanted to perform her music with other women. You really will have to put on some decent headphones to appreciate their first beautiful song 'St Michael' (A song about Love and Bad Timing) fully.
