Carol lost Sofia, the two girls she adopted, the boy she made cookies for, and now her stepson Henry! Poor Carol has been through so much, and shes the person you dont want to piss off!
I see people say that she didn't care for Sam. But there's a scene that I love so much where she is giving out cookies to the Alexandrians. She saves one, and puts it on a grave marked by a tombstone that says "Sam Anderson". I think she not only cared for him and was scared to lose another kid she cared for, but I feel like she also felt guilty for his death.
In the comics Ezekiel was killed and his head was on a pike. All of these deaths were basically meant to happen, many characters didn't exist in the comic, and there was a huge death toll in the coinciding issue of the comic.
Majority of comic deaths in that scene were pretty minor characters as well though. Ezekiel was the biggest death and Rosita was kind-of-bigger death too (although she had very background role as a character in comics). Olivia was also among longer-living characters that died there. But the rest were pretty minor. And it's kind of like that on TV too as Enid, Tara and Henry are "bigger" deaths in this scene.
Tara was offed because she was the leader of Hilltop. Remember that currently Hilltop is the main enemy of the whisperers so thats why most of the people killed were from there. Enid was also the Hillltops doctor
The Whisperers don't know they pissed off Carol, that's a nuh-uh in this world btw in the comics it was Ezekiel and Rosita with her unborn child dead Oh and another thing - hilltop really had tough season for their leaders, because Tara, Jesus and Gregory died and Maggie left
24:35 the massacre happened in the comics but to a lot of different people. The most notable comic casualties were Rosita and Ezekiel, and the episode teases it when Gabriel is looking to speak to “her” and when Alpha asks Ezekiel to take her to the clothing booth.

The TV Show characters killed off were all TV Original Characters. Tammy Rose was the only Comic chatacter that was similar between the mediums. The Comic Pikes actually killed off 12.5 people, not 10 like the show. Tara, enid, Henry, the kids, negans wife, and the highwaymen were all TV Show Exclusive Characters with no comic counterpart. Enid and Henry were Sophia and Carl replacements and Tara was from the Governor's Novel series. From a comic perspective, they were the most expendable to the story. Keep in mind, the Comic Characters driving this storyarc are literally all gone in the TV Show already. Theres no Rick, Andrea, Carl, Maggie, Sophia, Jesus, Heath, or Hershel jr in the Show rn. They are the main focus of the comics. Daryl and Jerry dont exist, Carol and Judith are long dead, Ezekiel and Rosita should have died, But skipped their deaths. The inky similarities between mediums rn are Michonne, Aaron, Eugene, Gabriel, Siddiq, magna's crew, Alpha, Lydia and Beta are the only similarities So they couldn't dare kill off Ezekiel and Rosita like in the comics because they need all the manpower they can get. It was kinda like the opposite of money issues they paid their other leads to stay on passed their comic characters deaths.
it wasn’t a money issue, alpha killed a bunch of people in the comics too. the only difference is in the comics, it was rosita’s head on the pike instead of tara
But in the comics, Rosita was more of a cardboard cutout in the background for her entire run, same goes to Gabriel. they really altered the arc from comic to screen. It truly started wholesale with the death of Dale in the show but really took off when Andrea died at Woodberry. They managed to still hit the high-notes as best they could but I still view the TV show more like a "What if..." for the universe.
Hey guys I saw you last Gumball reaction and it great that you guys love music shows. Maybe once your done Danny Phantom, you should give Phineas and Ferb a try. It has really catchy music.
@Dbl4Sllivn I also think that it was done because they had no idea what they were doing at this point. There is a reason why this show eventually ran it's course you know. A lot of strange choices made here and it dealt them a lot of heavy blows.
This episode was wild!! So glad they didn’t go the comic route with Ezekiel and Rosita on the pikes! I low key cheered when Tara was shown. She was terrible and should’ve died YEARS ago. I felt terrible for Carol tho
Tara was cool in the beginning but did become an annoyance later on. She was a massive hypocrite especially when she told Dwight he didn't get to switch sides after she was with the governor and didnt attempt to stop him from killing Herschel. I love how she got called out by Michonne and the others.
Finally! I started my own rewatch when ya guys got to season 9 because the final 3 seasons are very unfamiliar to me and I stoppeed on season 10 cause I want yall caught up so I can watch the episodes two times. They are the main focus of the comics. Daryl and Jerry dont exist, Carol and Judith are long dead, Ezekiel and Rosita should have died, But skipped their deaths. The inky similarities between mediums rn are Michonne, Aaron, Eugene, Gabriel, Siddiq, magna's crew, Alpha, Lydia and Beta are the only similarities
So they couldn't dare kill off Ezekiel and Rosita like in the comics because they need all the manpower they can get.
It was kinda like the opposite of money issues they paid their other leads to stay on passed their comic characters deaths.
it wasn’t a money issue, alpha killed a bunch of people in the comics too. the only difference is in the comics, it was rosita’s head on the pike instead of tara
and ezekiel’s head was on one of the pikes
But in the comics, Rosita was more of a cardboard cutout in the background for her entire run, same goes to Gabriel. they really altered the arc from comic to screen. It truly started wholesale with the death of Dale in the show but really took off when Andrea died at Woodberry. They managed to still hit the high-notes as best they could but I still view the TV show more like a "What if..." for the universe.
I guess Enid forgot to JSS
Hey guys I saw you last Gumball reaction and it great that you guys love music shows. Maybe once your done Danny Phantom, you should give Phineas and Ferb a try. It has really catchy music.
That many people died because this was a scene in the comic books thing is none of these characters got piked in the comics that’s what’s weird.
@Dbl4Sllivn I also think that it was done because they had no idea what they were doing at this point. There is a reason why this show eventually ran it's course you know. A lot of strange choices made here and it dealt them a lot of heavy blows.
@@GaiaLegendshut up
Holy. A morning reaction. Let's go
in the comics the pike victims were way worse
Carol lost another kid
Read the comic! It's directly from the comic
Tara was only hired for 3 episodes and lasted years. Her death was hard. Enid to but Henry's only cause of Carol broken heart
Here's where the season's good shit starts!!!!!
So in the second to last episode, lmao
Episode 16 last of season 9
Get ready for season 10.
Honestly if Andrew Lincoln wanted to leave at the end of the season I would have had him be the final pike.
That would’ve been crazy. The audience would go nuts.
Season 10, episode 7, is gonna piss you off... i think.
henry has potential to be the next carl but no they killed him i was dissapointed to the heads on pyke i could've accepted it if its ezikiel
This episode was wild!! So glad they didn’t go the comic route with Ezekiel and Rosita on the pikes!
I low key cheered when Tara was shown. She was terrible and should’ve died YEARS ago. I felt terrible for Carol tho
@@Getstr8cash would’ve preffered that
The Tara hate is insane.
@@nykemurakami She sucked. Legit one of the worst characters. Beyond cringe and a hypocrite.
The Tara love is insane.
@@Rknowles813 Yeah for an incel like you 🫶
Tara was cool in the beginning but did become an annoyance later on. She was a massive hypocrite especially when she told Dwight he didn't get to switch sides after she was with the governor and didnt attempt to stop him from killing Herschel. I love how she got called out by Michonne and the others.
ART OF DEATH
Finally! I started my own rewatch when ya guys got to season 9 because the final 3 seasons are very unfamiliar to me and I stoppeed on season 10 cause I want yall caught up so I can watch the episodes two times.
Its for the best tho because im waay behind on other shows like The Gentlemen, Deadboy Detectives, and now Knuckles I even got movies im way behind on.
