  • CAN TV has launched a new show called CHICAGO POLITICS.
Chicago’s political machine is one-of-a-kind. Each episode will unpack how democracy works: decisions made in the halls of the City Council and how the state assembly directly impacts Chicago’s diverse communities…for the better, or worse.
In the first episode of Chicago Politics, host Hugo Balta speaks with Cristina Pacione-Zayas, Chief of Staff for Mayor Brandon Johnson and the City of Chicago, about the rise and fall of BRING CHICAGO HOME. Lead Correspondent Samantha Lampkin visits residents of South Loop to talk with the staff and clients of Issues Barber & Beauty Salon to learn what they think about the referendum to raise some real estate tax for homelessness prevention programs.
In the first edition of VOICES, Jose Muñoz, Executive Director of La Casa Norte, who
has experienced homelessness, has the last word on creating a revenue stream to help the unhoused.

Isn’t the main problem about Privatization? If all projects are Privatized and all the available lands to build on are privately owned and only available to LEASE, 🤔. Hummm, aren’t you just playing Ring Around the Rosey and only ending up back where you started? Obviously. YIKES 😳, what a MESS.
