    I’m actually in Thailand and I bought these for around $60 directly from the Twins store. Absolutely incredible, unfortunately we train without shin guards over here but I can’t wait to use them once I get back to the US.

      Definitely a better deal when buying direct from Thailand 🙂👍🏻
      At least your shins should be well conditioned if you're not able to use your new shin guards over in Thailand, hah ha 🤔😃

      JohnnyBoy Kickboxer you’re not kidding about the shin conditioning. The heavy bags out here are as hard as concrete bro, no lie.

      Sounds like you won't be needing the shin guards as you'll have super conditioned shins by the time you return, hah ha! 😄👍🏻

    Helpful video! Wanted to see review videos on these shin guards and see if they were worth buying or not. Video definitely helped with persuading me, the the shin guards look great. Definitely gonna make an investment in these shin guards and get some soon. Thanks for the video, was very helpful 👍🏽

    quick question if you see this, I have seen many what seems like fully legit twins shin gaurds without the genuine leather label, and with a synthetic leather label on the back, do you know anything about this, or the difference? @johnnyboy kickboxer

    • @johnnyboykickboxer8302
      @johnnyboykickboxer8302  4 года назад

      I'm not too sure to be honest. I did hear a while ago that Twins had started moving towards synthetic leather in some of their products, but not sure if this is true or what the reason would be 🤔
      Sorry. It may an idea to contact Twins themselves and ask, just for piece of mind and so that you don't get ripped off or end up with fakes

    how have those holes held up, have they gotten bigger, loose or any changes to the pads in general after use

    • @johnnyboykickboxer8302
      @johnnyboykickboxer8302  5 лет назад +1

      Holding up well mate 🙂
      Velcro straps a little more relaxed than when they were brand new (naturally), but not too loose and padding still good 👍🏻

    good review, my only question is the picture of the shin guards the same ones you purchased? asking because they seem more of a darker red/ burgundy color and yours seem more of a bright red. thanks!

      Hey OVMG, yeah they are the same burgundy shin guards. It must just be the lighting in the picture making them look a brighter red 🙂

    How do you buy from Thailand directly? Is their a website?

    • @johnnyboykickboxer8302
      @johnnyboykickboxer8302  3 года назад

      There are a few websites that supply direct from Thailand. It's been a while since I bought my gloves but I think the website I used was muaythai.com. However I've just done a quick search fro it and the website no longer appears to be active 😕. Just do a bit of digging around on Google and see of you can find somewhere that delivers from Thailand. Buy bear in mind that you may also have import duty and custom fees to pay, but for me it still worked our cheaper than the UK

    Hi Johnny, thanks for review... I've the same but old model, it's time to buy the new, I saw in the comment that you're tall like me (187 cm) , is better to buy XL or L?

    • @johnnyboykickboxer8302
      @johnnyboykickboxer8302  3 года назад +1

      Hey, glad you liked my review 🙂. Mine are size L and they fit perfectly. If I had XL then they would probably be too slack and the top would maybe get in the way of my knee. Hope this helps 🙂

      @@johnnyboykickboxer8302 Thank you! I want to get the Decha focus mitts because the quality looks good for a cheap price. I've been looking at the sandee focus mitts too. I'm a beginner in muay thai and I don't want to invest in the more expensive twins focus mitts. What would you recommend?

    • @johnnyboykickboxer8302
      @johnnyboykickboxer8302  5 лет назад

      Hey @@aissacallas6858, it's entirely up to you - but there is a popular saying that my granny used to say "Buy cheap - buy twice!" basically meaning that a cheaper product may not last as long as a more expensive and premium quality product, resulting in having to buy again.
      Having said that, when I first started kickboxing I opted for the cheaper gloves and mitts as I didn't want to invest in the more expensive gear until I was sure I was sure I was going to enjoy kickboxing and stick around.
      I've never tried the Decha mitts so I can't really give an opinion on them, but I know people who have Sandee gear and they seem happy with it.
