    The G27 and Kahr CM9 are both great choices. I have both too. I agree with both of your comments. Also have the seven rd mag for the Kahr and with 8 total, Im good with that

    Kahr CM/PM9 is the best carry gun for me. Been carrying it for over 2 yrs and love it

    @WheelchairDave1031 Thanks bud. I was wondering where you have been. Thanks for watching

  • @TheFirearmGuy

    @chrisbuckler Why would I do that? I clearly explained the guns in the beginning of the video and the G26/27 share the exact same specs. Did you not know that?

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад +1

    I know you are right. I love both guns and do carry the Kahr everyday. I trust Glock a lot and both guns have worked well for me. Thanks and great comment

    Sounds good Luis and you are correct. The best gun is the one you have on you

    I have both Glock 26 (for 3.5 yrs) and Kahr CM9 (for 4 years).... both are great..... for me Glock 26 has more fire power (10 + 1 and can take Glock19 mag 15 + 1) more rounds, easier to shoot faster and more accurately. HOWEVER I found I was leaving Glock 26 at home because the Glock 26 is tad too big (thick) to pocket carry, and putting on a holster was not convenient. The CM9 goes in the pocket and easy to carry. I am always armed... That makes it better, but the Glock 26 is better shooter.... PS BOTH have been 100% reliable but the Glock 26 inspires a little more confidence in reliability....

  • @TheFirearmGuy

    Captured spring means that the guide rod and spring are together as one. A captured spring is easier to remove and reassemble because it fits easier and there is no struggle trying to force the spring in place. A captured spring is about two inches long as a noncaptured spring is about twice that

  • @TheFirearmGuy

    @TheMouseRalph Thanks for checking it out. I have an XD v Glock coming in a day

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @tarasovic The color is called OD Green. The OD stands for olive drab and unfortunatly Glock stopped making OD frames. You can find them on gunbroker however you will have to pay shipping and transfer costs. I like them a lot too

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  11 лет назад +3

    I trust my life with the CM9 too and its easy to carry

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад +1

    I didnt know that either but I have to say I love XDs. I have two and they shoot outstanding. Im a huge Kahr fan as CM9 is my edc

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад

    @05thruxton I certainly appreciate it buddy. I really like the Beretta Nano however my edc is a Kahr CM9. If I can get my hands on a Nano I would but I have no plans to buy one. I have other comparative vids as well

  • @rickmod13
    @rickmod13 12 лет назад +1

    I am actually considering picking up a CM9 for summer carry. However i have another advantage of the pocket glocks, their magazine interchangeability. With a baby Glock, you can use the factory sub compact mag, compact mag, full size mag and even extended mag. You can empty your 10rnd mag, reach in a vest pocket and pop in a 32rnd if you were the CCW rambo. Just food for thought.

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @FireArmsResQ Thanks buddy. I find them fun to make and a lot of people have their opinions and comments which makes it fun too

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @TheMolysProject I actually did a little research on the Glock mags before the vid and my resources said plastic which is basically polymer

  • @TheFirearmGuy

    @unomas58 They are both excellent and I dont plan to change my EDC anytime soon

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  11 лет назад

    Yes I actually have a comparison vid with a XDs vs M&P Shield. The shield is great but hard to find right now. As for the MP 9c I would go with a Glock but thats me

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад

    Yeah I replaced the guide rod spring cause I wanted a captured spring for ease of use

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад +1

    Well I can speak to this because I have both guns and have carried both. I find the Kahr CM9 easy to carry and light. The Glock is great too but a bit heavier and bulkier. My first preference in summer is the CM9

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @TigerMike901 Thanks bud. Its a little easier when you have two guns you love

    I've got the Glock 26, and I absolutely love it.

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @ImJacksAmygdala The trigger is the same with both PM and CM9. The main difference is the polygamol barrel, adjustable front sight and better etching on the slide for the PM9. Other than that, its the same gun for over $200 less

    @choke4smoke One more thing. Many people have had trouble with the small .380s and I had to send my LCP back to Ruger for repair. I was interested in the Kahr p380 or the sig P238 as a replacement because of size and weight but the CM9 is still small enough to conceal easily. The Kahr and Sig .380s are more expensive but I dont feel the difference is worth the price. The 9mm is a better defensive round and for the money I am happy I chose the Kahr CM9. I would do it again in a second

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад

    @Dunkleosteus3691 Yes sir good pints. Thats why I carry an extra loaded mag in my truck but not on my person. I carry the G27 in the winter now and again and love that gun. I feel very confident with the Kahr CM9 as well

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @hk45shooter Thanks man the comparisons are fairly easy. Just talking about things we love

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @choke4smoke Hey bud you pose a great question and I once had a P11 and didnt like it either. The CM9 is excellent however it is a bit larger than the LCP and other small .380s. If you are size sensitive, then stick with the small .380s but if you want a stronger, more available and cheaper round, the CM9 is your ticket. For me, the size is not too substantial enough to stick with the LCP. The quality of the Kahr is WAY better IMO. The pocket CM9 for me just made sense and I love it

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @glenrushh I agree and I hope that I came across as loving both guns

  • @TheFirearmGuy

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад

    @chris71600rr Hey bud thanks for the positive feedback. You made a wise choice with both these guns. The Glock will hold up to anything and eat any ammo thrown in it and the Kahr is small and compact but can pack a punch as well. I love em both too

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад

    @gungadin777 Thats a great question. I trust the Kahr with my life and practice shooting it on a regular basis. In the summer I tend to carry the Kahr more due to its size and availability to conceal with any style of dress. I will carry the G27 more in the winter when I typically wear a belt and can holter it easily. The point is that I trust both guns to work flawlessly in a SD situation but if I had to choose at a moments notice I would choose the Glock

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад

    @Unythios I have to agree but the average gun owner would most likely prefer the Glock cause to pin needs to be removed and the spring is captured

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @Theophilus1978 Thanks my friend. I had the CM9 on my wish list for about a week then got it as soon as I could. The Kahr CM9 is an excellent carry gun with great reliability and decent accuracy. For CCW purposes, I love it.

  • @TheFirearmGuy

    Im going to look at the manual buts its actually the same motion anyways. Ive chambered rds thousands of times with Kahrs and never had a problem

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @KryptKeeper40 That is very true and I like my Glocks too much to torture them however I am going to do an underwater shooting vid with my G19

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад

    @MrNotsoscary I dont feel the metal trigger is a selling point. The polymer frames and triggers have stood the test of time and in my opinion is a non issue

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад

    Yes I agree and I did size comparisons with the G30 in my review of it

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  11 лет назад

    Thanks bud and you mentioned a couple top notch people there and I trust their opinions as well. As far as the guy commenting, he said I dont own the guns I compared but in the vid description I called it "two of my favorite carry guns"

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  13 лет назад

    @choprules Good point and a lot of Glock haters have never even shot one. They are blocky and bulky but shoot excellent

  • @TheFirearmGuy

    Well put it this way. I have a gen 2 Glock 19 which has over 10,000 rds fired through it and it still works as if it were brand new. I have three Glocks and the all work excellent and eat up all types of ammo better than any other gun I have. Also people can work on their own Glocks without have ing to send to a gunsmith cause they are simple and offer accessories better than most all other makes. Dont get me wrong Glocks are not the prettiest or most comfortable but by far the most reliable

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  11 лет назад

    Great choices brother

  • @ARALSHERRI
    @ARALSHERRI 11 лет назад

    Excellent honest review... I am thinking of getting Glock 26 or Glock 19. I will more likely go for 19 and later purchase one of the smaller ones in a different caliber. Britain ordered 25,000 Glock 17 for their troops in Afghanistan.

  • @TheFirearmGuy

    I can only speak for my Kahr, but the instructions clearly stated that you do NOT ride the slide ever. I could not ride the slide at all on my Kahr until it was broken in. I still use the slide release, but it is a pain in the a-- as every other gun has no issue about racking it the old fashioned way.

    My dad has a KAHR and he was a master sharpshooter for the USMC and has competed in shooting comp with Ruger Mark II .22. So he's beyond an excellent shot. Long story short he couldnt hit the broad side of a barn with the Kahr the first 100 rounds. Its a delicate gun with delicate sights. You literally have to know the gun like the back of your hand to fire it accurate. Your all over the place with it until you really get used and adjust to it.

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  12 лет назад

    I dont think you took any chances by choosing Kahr. If thats the case Im taking a chance too by carrying a Kahr CM9 as my edc

    I carry both these guns but mainly the Kahr

  • @chasehammock
    @chasehammock 12 лет назад

    Good review though - the thing that sells me on the Kahr is that it's thin and light for carry, and the slide is easy to break down completely without specialized tools. I will never buy a Springfield XD because you can't even remove the extractor which is ridiculous! Just learned this the other day on Armory Channel.

    In reading most of the comments, I see a lot of personal preference. If you're a Glock fan, you like the G26, but there are tons of comments stating the CM9 is their edc weapon. I purchased the CM9 2 years ago, and don't regret it one bit. The G26 is a great gun, but when I tried to conceal a G26, it wasn't as comfortable, leading me to believe I would be less likely to carry it vs the CM9. Can't protect yourself if you don't carry it. Just my thoughts.

  • @TheFirearmGuy

    I have heard a lot of guys mention that about the Kahr. I have owned two Kahrs and each were able to go into battery by sling shotting the slide just like a Glock. I find this whole notion to lock the slide back to chamber a round a little foolish

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  11 лет назад

    Very cool man. Put at least 300 rounds through the Kahr. Its very tight out of the box

  • @TheFirearmGuy

    Both of these guns hardly kick because they are 9mm. What are you talking about bad triggers? If you like 1911s fine but dont say these triggers suck

  • @TheFirearmGuy
    @TheFirearmGuy  11 лет назад

    Honestly Ive shot both and didnt notice a difference. I have no regrets with this CM9 vs PM9 and saving the $200.
