Just wanted to share in case anyone has children and looking to relocate to Charlotte. Schools seem better in Huntersville, Concord, Dilworth if in Charlotte area. The best schools are in South Carolina. The nearest city I found was Fort Mill, which has a really good school system and only 20 mins from Uptown, South End, etc.

Hey thanks for watching. Honestly I would say not really from what I’ve seen. We do have few good Caribbean, African, Vietnamese, and Italian spots. Uptown and metro area is def for young professionals.
The reason you feel safe is probably because that city is known for holding Christianity. Christians aren’t murderers. That’s why I wanna move there, because they’re God-centered to the point where it’s normal to ask whether you go to church. I believe God’s Holy Spirit is in that city more than anything and that’s why they’re successful. Coming from MA, it’ll be refreshing to see a good percentage of black people.

I’ve lived here for about a year and am still trying to figure that one out😅 There are definitely some what I refer to as “bottle girl spots” lol, that have the hookah and blasting music. Like, this place Cloud. Then on the flip side, there are tons of eateries and breweries and bars that are super cute…but you’re not finding groups of black guys in there lol. As far as places where black guys just hang out (like restaurants/bars/lounges) and you could potentially meet someone..I’m struggling with that one lol.
I’m considering moving down in November it’s just the transition of rent. In Cleveland, Ohio where I’m from I stay in a very nice apartment in a nice suburban area for $630

I definitely think dilworth will be more affordable, however I am considering plaza mid wood also. On my next visit I think I’ll Airbnb in those two neighborhoods to see how it would be to live there. At this time I don’t think south end may work because of the pricing

Hey I would say you have to research where the apt is located, parts of east Charlotte is not the best for ppl moving to Charlotte. If you are looking for affordable apts I recommend northlake or university city area is a safer neighborhood
No $1k+ it’s in south Charlotte, south end, mid wood, noda, uptown. north lake. These areas are nice... East Charlotte is hood and university city is college students. So it depends on where you look and want to live.

I would say Southend. It’s walking distance from several shops, bars, restaurants, parks, and public transit center. I visit that area often.

Hey I would say you have to research where the apt is located, parts of east Charlotte is not the best for ppl moving to Charlotte. If you are looking for affordable apts I recommend northlake or university city area is a safer neighborhood

@@nihjah7 hey i took a look. i recommend. anything in the UC area is pretty safe. the traffic from uptown to UC is not the best around 30 min drive.

No $1k+ it’s in south Charlotte, south end, mid wood, noda, uptown. north lake. These areas are nice... East Charlotte is hood and university city is college students. So it depends on where you look and want to live.

No way... I stay in Uptown and pay less than $1100... I can walk to so many bars and restaurants...I can see Bank of America Stadium from my rooftop

Hey I only visited Raleigh/Durham once. So I can’t really compare the cities to CLT. I do know Charlotte is a bigger Metro area.
