I'd LOOOOVE to get one. I'm a platinum fan also, but probably a bit out of my price range right now I reckon (looks like it'd fit nicely hidden amongst my cassette collection 😂)
Same, same & same! This would definitely snag the Top Spot in my own cassette collection, but as it stands that honour belongs to the soundtrack that is Breakdance 2: Electric Boogaloo 😂
If as stated the driver to replace Pt with Pd was the lower cost of Pd then as this is no longer the case (May 2024) one may expect the Pt price to increase because of the increased incorporation in catalytic convertors. The inelasticity of the Pt reserves/production may add to this increase (as seen recently with Rh). Pt (pref. for diesel cats) and Pd (pref. for petrol cats) have differing demands and Pt has a lower temperature tolerance than Pd. The increasing regulation on emissions will require greater efficiency of cat converters which likely translates to greater Rh/Pd/Pt content. Another significant demand for Pt is in bushings for glass fibre. If the economy picks up the demand for Pt should intensify.
Why? So the price can drop the day after I buy it so you can buy some cheaper Pt?! 😅 I may have to start a subscription service just for that Pt trade info!
I have a platinum kangaroo coin. Gotta say, it looks pretty dull and ordinary, almost like lead 😂😂😂 i thought it would be prettier. Anyhow, regardless, im not complaining about owning the 1oz precious metal assett of it, just saying it didnt look anything special to me.
If you have a gold or silver kangaroo, it’s difficult to know if it’s fake. A platinum kangaroo is more dense than any readily available, cheaper metal.
Platinum is definitely a niche metal. Dull-looking with no luster, price is stagnant, and it’s a metal having a melting point of 1,769 deg C which makes it costly to process.
Beautiful 10oz Platy!
Thanks for Sharing!
Absolutely stunning I always love the lady Fortuna and platinum is a wonderful metal second too gold in my stack.
That’s a beautiful design.
😮😮

cool bar but platinum doesnt have the upward trajectory that gold does, in my unprofessional opinion

I don't like the way their all locked up in plastic, I've seen a lot of fake gold bars and stuff with tungsten inside
These ones are fairly easy to open up without damaging anything, in fact we did so for the close up shots of the bar!
