In the summer of 2016 Nile Wilson made history at the Rio Olympic Games becoming the first British man to win an individual apparatus medal on the High Bar. He built an incredibly successful RUclips channel which brought him fame, financial success but more importantly inspired a whole generation of kids to take up the sport of gymnastics. He's written a book, opened multiple gymnastics clubs and more recently won the TV show dancing on ice. Nile is one of the most decorated British Gymnastics of all time. And this is his story.

This is a powerful interview/conversation. Mental health is very important for so many individuals. I'm a suicide survivor. Like Nile, I now know I never want to end up in that deep depression so I do things daily to work towards being positive even when I feel depressed. I allow myself to feel but not dwell continually in depression. Hope you understand what I mean.

I've been watching Nile since early 2017, so I wanted to see this episode on video, and I'm glad I did. It was interesting to see his face during some of your questions, which were very good by the way, and I'm glad to hear he's been figuring himself out a bit more, but it's always a bit worrying to know that his life is still a crazy slippery slope at times. I admire how mature you've become, Sam, and I hope you continue with this podcast and continue helping the younger generations cope with their stuff and be curious about these topics that are so important. Great episode :)
