Happy to hear this! Just getting a video here once in a while that says "hey, we're still working on this!" is great. I've never given up on this game and I'm glad you guys are sticking with it to make this the definitive StarCraft experience. Please address the way that the game freezes/hangs up for a few seconds when you open the options menu, tho. Have players set the game to Extra High Latency out of habit too much and it takes too long for me to go set it back to Low. lol
Guys, this has bothered me for decades. But when you play in SD mode, the icons for Zerg Lair and Zerg Hive are mixed up. The Zerg Hive and Zerg Lair have used the wrong icons since 1998.
About 3vs3 or 4vs4 random team: Take the good things from WC3/TFT 4 vs 4 Random Team. 1) Auto-match-search for team games 2) A map pool (This can lead to new interesting strategies) 3) As a player you should die the moment all the buildings of your team have gone, not just your own buildings (this makes base races more interesting) 4) Make it possible to send resources to allied players. (This can lead to new interesting strategies) 5) Fix the starting positions for team games. No one wants a single teammate surrounded by 4 opponents.
imagine the love put in a game from 1998 (yes I know its obviously remastered) ~ This guy is a hero. And this game gets more love then Diablo ever will apparently.

Kappa has a point there are ways for it to work with very little problems already. Sure you have to do a bit of work but a full version would probably never be worth it for the dev team.

Hey Grant, I really wish you guys would consider a APM throttle, vs game speed; I expect no one really wants to watch their SUVs slog through mud, or seem too. And it would help the single player Skirmish game a lot I think. Allow new players to be more competitive vs the AI and better players could ramp it up. After all there is a meter now, so that tells me the code is half way there anyhow. I love now in SC:R I can set a warning if my apm drops below 60; if it ever got up to 60 that would be by far my best game ever, I simply don’t have that kind of hand/brain speed. I average 60hrs a week at work, so for me this game, is just that a game, a diversion, but it would be nice to be able to enjoy a competitive single player skirmish against the AI. I like SC much better than Dawn of War in most ways, Graphics, Lore, no tedious praising the emperor all the time and nothing in gaming I know beats the sound of a Siege tank firing; but in Dawn of War I can play a competitive skirmish in Normal mode and SC:R not even close.
I have been waiting for the kb/m input cancelling fix since remastered released. I knew something felt off when I went to remastered from private ladders
@VeroMithril on Bnet and sp yeah, but in some of the private ladders where you'd connect using a spawned version of the game to private ladders it was not there. They changed names since I last played on them, but it was mentioned in a past developer update I believe.
At last we see Sarah Kerrigan in all her previous SC1! I don't know why the hate of Warcraft 3 Reforged. It has beautiful texture, retained its gameplay, and it has WIDESCREEN SUPPORT! I thought it is better than the first in anyway
If they ever do it, it would be a reboot, the story already faced the very end of the SC universe their very apocalypse, and went through it, there isn't anything but side stories to tell after that.
As a bw noob yall should really do something to promote new players because it is extremely hard to get into the game just switching from sc2. I cant even imagine how hard it is to start up as a new player. Its NOT fun queueing up into a player with 3x your apm
That's just how it works on any hardcore game. You have to suffer with getting owned for a while before the game starts putting you against people at your skill level.

CarryGun is the next generation in evolution. Make such precedent wider in the game. Make protoss-zerg, human-protoss evolve into new level of spieces with new gameplay capacities. For now , it is hard develop balanced capacities of new species, so going to standard mission during which testing new capacities , Then evolve into what? (Image of Predator for all with little different capacities ,for start, later image evolve according intended capacities) Rebalancing, disappearing, inventing new.
Just unlock dynamic lights in settings! I have integrated GPU and a 8 gigs of RAM. And I can't turn on this option. I can't set 2 gigs to VRAM in BIOS. It is stupid situation. I can't feel the full experience of remastered game :(
what do you mean "old sharp SD graphics"? You can change the filter to be unfiltered ("sharp" and pixelated) or filtered (smoothed out) in the options. The graphics are the same as they've always been. Widescreen isn't gonna happen for SD -- for one, its one of the perks of buying Remastered, and for two, the logistics of making that work are just not worth the time invested. People playing on SD graphics are doing so for nostalgia and the pure oldschool experience, and the pure oldschool experience doesn't include widescreen
I hope that they'll eventually make another Starcraft game in the future at some point, but I don't know what story it would tell and with which characters.

Can someone help me? I have a nvidia GTX 1080 Ti and when I play starcraft my gpu goes to 90% usage and goes to 83c. Why is this? I put the power setting to optimum in nvidia control panel but it makes no difference. Starcraft 1 isnt that demanding. My gpu should not be going to 90% usage.
Are you using dynamic lighting options and such? if so you must know, StarCraft 1 has indeed become that demanding, that had to be expected with graphics in 4K.

I'm using SC:Remastered with the Remastered graphics in my laptop with a GTX850 M with the bare minimum 2GB of VRAM and I can play just fine. OH and BTW did I mention that I'm playing it on Linux Mint using PlayOnLInux?
i was thinking starcraft could be made LESS VESPANE or such in tarr then also various being more rationally distributed such as weapons hitpoints PLUS zerg made more zerg, dragoons made more like actual dragoons similarly having a turret gun double like dragoons should have shooting alternately

MOH MAH Zerg would be overpowered. Take it from a Zerg player, no. You don’t make radical changes to a game that’s 98% perfect. The chance that it’ll make it better are basically null, and the chance to make it 50% worse are easy. It’s been great for 20+ years because they haven’t listened to dumb ideas like this one.
Having multi-select might be a good OPTION to include for PRIVATE matches/UMS only (really, would enhance a lot of UMS maps if you could do that instead of using their built-in massers that are p jank..) It absolutely should not be in matchmaking or pro play, however.

No UMS maps can simulate Archon mode unfortunately. Only Team Melee can do that and its pretty silly (and limited, since you can only play the default AI on maps that don't confuse them) @VeroMithril

Are you going to create StarCraft 3 in the future? I think many would like to see a direct continuation of the plot of such a wonderful game.

@@JosueC730 When I DISABLE vsync it goes to 300 fps. When I enable vsync it goes to 680 fps.
@@JosueC730 Ok i can get it to run at 100 fps with the custom fps settings. Its strange that its working now because previously it didnt do anything.

They reimplemented that feature in SC2 with the 3rd addon.
