It wasn't just the writing. Don't get me wrong, that built the masterpiece, but it was rock solid all the way thru. Every single thing about it. All of it. Acting, the music. The design. the action, the emoting from CG characters. The cinemetography.

Arcane released in November 2021. That's barely 2 years ago. It's not a live action show, animation takes a very long time to develop. This says it will release in November which will be exactly 3 years, which is honestly sooner than I was expecting.
Also I just don't really know what to tell you? Rewatch the show, watch a recap video, rewatch certain episodes or scenes. I remember the story perfectly because the show was so good. The fact that you can't remember kind of just sounds like a skill issue. @@PepTalkTillYouDrop

Funnly enough, in 99% of cartoons and animes, computer animation and hand drawn art are already combined. This is just a specific way to combine the two.

I’m not usually one for animated shows and I’ve never played LoL but I was in awe of Arcane the whole way through! Absolutely stunning. Cannot wait for season 2

Arcane team, PLEASE take your time. To get story telling and animation that was as solid as it was in S1, I'm willing to wait another year. I think a large chunk of the fans are too. This looks wonderful.

@@tacoman107 A lot of time is saved by the fact that they have the foundation from season 1: models; characters; art style. So to have an output as good as season 1 is not unlikely for three years.
Too late. The release month has been made public, therefore it's working against a deadline from now on.
@@tacoman107 While that is agreeable, you have to understand that Arcane season 2 was announced *shortly* after the success of season 1. That tells me they were already working on it, and that they were already planning on releasing it. You act like they didn't start writing until after season 1 released, which is honestly insulting given the fact that they set up a season 2 perfectly with the way season 1's story was already going.
I respect animators and writers with all of my heart, I really do. And that's why I just KNOW they've already been working on this. 3 years post-release is not that quick for a short animated series that already has the writing knocked out of the park. Really all they had left was minor writing tweaks, all of the animations (which they already have the models for), and the voice acting.
Remember: Season 1 took 6 years because they had to build Arcane from the ground up. They had to figure out the story, they had to figure out the direction they wanted to take it, they had to truly perfect the characters, they had to figure out an art direction, they had to create the models, and they had to figure out how they wanted to animate it. Now that they already have the ground settled, it makes sense that season 2 would release 3 years afterward, because they don't have to do all of that all over again.
If you really care about something, have faith in it.

I like how they managed to adapt Warwick’s lore into movie but I think the best part of the teaser is that they will connect the lore of orianna with singed’s. The background music gives off orianna. Since the beginning of the show, singed has been looking at his watch, his daughter’s photo. After the fight between victor and jayce, victor will definitely go to zaun and help singed to revive orianna in different form. Maybe we can also see the both of them building blitz

See this is a show we’re you can truly say that they had an unlimited budget for animation. Beautiful fluent animation feeling realistic and yet it still also feels like a different world. This is true absolute ART

Something I find really interesting in Arcane is how incredibly grounded it is compared to the wider world of league. It takes place in a magic steampunk setting, and the only magic stuff are the blue gemstones, probably shimmer, and the wizard that Jayce saved Jayce as a child. Magic is treated as this super dangerous thing thats hinted at and researched. Its especially dangerous if tampered with. and I think thats why Piltover is so technological.
Its just interesting how the wider LOL universe has deities and devils and gods and all sorts of crazy magical stuff, and characters that are brimming with magic. Its just super cool that the characters in Piltover are experimenting and tapping into it.

It is, seriously. Shit should be archived in the library of congress and an impossible season to follow up, it set the bar so high. Still amped to see season two though.

Another example that every story must have compelling antagonist. Modern screenwriters forgot about it. Caricature evil just for the sake of evil is boring and victory over it isn't honorable at all!
I said it in 2021 and I'll say it again. An emotional roller-coaster. You laugh, you cry, you just simply want to live in that world, between those people, in that world. This makes this series a masterpiece, when your reality is simply not comparable with a virtual one. Thank you Riot, Netflix and all the artists who worked, work and will work on Arcane. Just Thank You!

Just finished rewatching Season 1 for the fourth time yesterday. SO EXCITED! Having this and Beyond the Spider-Verse in the same year is gonna give a lot of artists a lot of gorgeous inspiration!

I loved S1, but I'm really skeptical about bringing Vander back in any form. It would really cheapen his sacrifice and undermine the journey that both Jinx and V have taken so far. Really hope that if they bring in Warwick, that he is unrelated to Vander.

@@mrfish229 Well, people are questioning why Vander was put back. I doubt the series will explain the lore but it does connect to it. THe lore said Warwick was a Zaunite connected to both Jinx and Violet but never said what is the connection, now the series has put a clear link to that. Grow up.

Its a testament to the artistic majesty and engrossing story of the first season of Arcane that a show can go this long between seasons, with little marketing, and still stoke such anticipation for its second season. The existence of Arcane, all by itself, is justification enough for a Netflix subscription.

What a start of 2024 year
I feel like praising this show will just turn me into a broken record but there really is no other way to put it. This show is indeed a masterpiece and I can easily say the best animation ever put to screen. The amount of care, detail and respect for ever character, every frame, the soundtrack and score. This is the pinnacle of animation. This is what you can only hope to be and it isn't even close and it is barely even disputed. The only concern I have is that the universal praise for the show may make the art team complacent. I frankly hope they don't listen to much to fans like me and just stick to their work.
So how many animated shows/movies have you seen? Arcane was very, very good, not denying that, but theres more stuff thats just as good.
@@thahoule7924 Like what? The character writing, pacing, animation, in depth understanding and application of emotional expressions both large and small are all immaculate. I struggle to think of any media at all that surpasses Arcane.

As a Warwick main, I have been waiting for this for SO LONG.
I really liked Vander as a character and thought the way he went out was awesome even if I didn’t want him out. Excited but nervous to see what horrors he went through that transformed him into Warwick, and what Warwick will be like
