This is a great video! I am a music teacher in WV and my nephew is a C/MSgt in our local CAP Squadron. I am currently working on a presentation to get our school district more involved with the recruiting and sharing the opportunities available in the CAP with our students and am going to use this video.
Quick correction CAP Cadet Program IS NOT K-12. It is for 12-21y/o if you join before 18, if you join after 18, then you become senior member flight officer.
Gabriella, congratulations on taking a great first step to becoming a member. My advice -- learn, grow, and seek as much training, experience, and opportunity as you can. CAP will not open your head and pour experience in -- you have to step up and volunteer to take on new roles and greater responsibility. The more you put into the program, the more you will get out of it. Best of luck to you!
@@roberthogan1838 thank you sir, I appreciate that very much!! I am very excited to join, learn and make friends. I met the cadets at my wing last Tuesday and they really needed more cadets because there are only two in the whole facility. They haven't had a female cadet in over 10 years so they were excited.
Congratulations Gabriella and I personally joined the civil air patrol 2 months ago and so far it has been a great experience and I hope your squadron gets more cadets to lead to more activities!
By now, you’ve been in longer than I have, so I have little to offer. My only advice is the the CAP discord is an invaluable resource, I would say it’s worth making a discord account just for that purpose. You will not find a more active dedicated and dependable resource in your CAP journey than on that server. Best of luck! NatCapWg on top. Out.
Great job! Great program to volunteer!
