Love that there’s a renewed commitment to Cadets from the USAF and CAP to actually train them to become pilots. I wish we had these opportunities when I was a cadet in the early 90s. Hopefully, we can start to do more of this for cadets in our squadron here in Hilo. I need more CC time to take my F91 for TP. I aim to get my instrument rating next followed by COM and CFI. From there I would definitely volunteer for this program.
Good stuff here. I always wanted to be a military pilot but wore contacts and the military went NOPE. Wanted to join the AF a year after HS but dad went NOPE not until you attend college. I learned later I could become a pilot with glasses and still go to the airlines so a few years ago I went and chased that dream! I really like the whole CAP idea and think taking young people up and showing them the ropes is a great idea. I had no idea about CAP as a kid and I think there definitely needs to be more awareness of it. I know there is a local place here but they meet when I am at work every week. Keep on flying and showing the young guys!
Can I ask a question say a person sees something say more than one somethings in different counties and different years is there a way to go back at the locations long and latitude to find out if there were any actual aircraft or anything caught. On radar not sure how ask questions I want to ask
@@JGT_rblx: USAF has appointment slots and progression through the cadet ranks, especially qualifying for the Spaatz award certainly gets consideration for USAF and other academies as well.
Joshua Kovacsics Ok thanks you i’ve looked at my options and i’m not really good at pt and i just wanted something that would be almost as fun if not every more fun then jrotc because i switched schools to a school that doesn’t have jrotc
@@ayz123_87 because CAP is an auxiliary of the USAF and that’s one of their flying uniforms. (Plus, the Air Force was paying for said flight training.)

Nice job on putting together a sweet video. Thanks for including all of the comms and representing CAP well on RUclips unlike most stuff out there...
This is great ! What a well made video the music and camera shots were on point !
Great video, it is a great thing to teach these kids at such a young age and give them a competitive advantage!
Nice job creating the video. Keep on going!
Great video glad he is taking an interest in flying and is thinking about the military for a career
Keep working, new pilots. Wish you learn quickly, understand thoroughly, and may Saint Magenta Line never abandon you.

This must be the 172 it looks a little smaller than the 182 (I’ve had both of my 2 O-Flights in a 182) but good job 👍✈️
Thanks. You, the Skyhawk is about 20% smaller than the mighty Skylane. But it’s great for primary training.
Very bright young man

Nice job! Try to get that nose up a bit more in the flare. Remember that the elevator becomes less effective as the plane slows down.
Does CAP help you get into USAFA?
I know its a vague and bad question...
It doesn’t hurt your chances.
@@RodRakic Thanks. Happy new years.
It absolutely helps! The further you get into the program, the better your chances to get into USAFA increase.
