Kids today will never understand that he was right behind Megatron when it comes to the 50/50 ball at that time. Me being bias as a cowboy fan, but man when Romo would just launch it I had no doubt on who it was going to, because MAN could dez make a play! It’s honestly sad to see how his career seems to finish because I honestly thought he was on a HOF career path. Man was a true X factor!

That is true. I'm a Giants fan and I'll say Dez had one of the best verticals ive ever seen for a starting NFL WR. Between he and Steve Smith its a toss up when it came to jumping
@yaahlabanyamyan144 Dez had a crazy eye for the ball, the fade route between him and Romo was automatic. His sideline energy would probably help today's football a lot.

Romos quick release, anticipation with his gunslinger mentality really matched Dez Bryant's style of play.
Dak had issues with his anticipation and accuracy early especially when he had to drop back. You can see he rarely ever steps up in the pocket and prefers his targets to be wide open.

@@patrickburk5668 that's not why they sent him packin. It's because he called out the coaching staff for being straight vanilla and running the same plays from the same formations every game. He was frustrated because every defense in the league knew what they were going to run before the ball was snapped on nearly every down. Garrett's ego couldn't handle it.

I don't care what anyone says about Dez....he was a freaking WARRIOR. Watch the way his offensive line runs to him every time he makes a big play. You think linemen are running up to a prima donna like that? They love him. I wish Dallas would have him back.

Romo was the man, sending his dedicated receiver to jump ball it every time. Beautiful timing, excellent throw, great blocking, great mix of running the ball and mixing it up.
Romo had faith in Dez and it showed. He knew if Dez didn’t catch it no one would. Because he blocked balls that should have been intercepted

I didn’t have size or speed, but determination, to get open as soon as possible, for my quarterback. Double moves, even triple moves got me open against the fastest defensive players with years of experience.

I was upset when Dallas cut Dez. I felt like sure, he'd lost a step but he, Cooper & Cee Dee would have been able to score in that 49er game.
Really, Romo just threw it to Dez whether he was open or not and Dez usually grabbed it. He was a special player.

Romo being able to drop that ball right into Dez's chest while in motion is something Dak can't do all the time. If coop, MG13, or CD played with Romo, they would all have like 1500 yards with double digits TDs.

I say Deion was the most exciting Cowboy to watch but I would put Dez up there.
Not gonna lie, til this day I miss Dez Bryant. Dude was a monster especially when he was healthy and in his prime. Sucks that him and Dak weren’t really given a fair shake together tho. Dez almost had another two 1000 yard seasons but this time wit Dak. So the chemistry or lack thereof between the two wasn’t the issue. It was Linehan and his scheme, even Dez said that. Linehan and his scheme was too predictable and vanilla. Besides in the 29 games Dak and Dez played together Dez had 119 catches for 1634 yards and 14 TDs. Could things have been better yes, but I don’t blame either of them guys. Even tho towards the end Dez could never stay healthy, was declining, couldn’t separate, etc. but it was moreso Scott Linehan for me

Had he not gotten injured in the training workout for the Saints in 2018 the Saints ⚜️ would of smack the Rams in the 2018 NFC championship game and would of wacked the Patriots in the Superbowl. As much as I like the cowboys to get back to it's glory days I wanted the Saints to win it all with Dez or without him boy imagine him In black n gold paired with Michael Thomas.
