Can we appreciate Mannie for a second? When she's giving feedback on the dresses, she's not doing it just on the basis of her own opinions. She's doing it on the basis of who Nabs is as a person. She said a lot of really nice stuff about the first dress but then it all boiled down to "this isn't you, Nabs, and you know it." Same with the second dress. She knows her cousin and she knows there wasn't enough sparkle on the skirt. She was supportive the entire time and gave constructive criticism with the bride's best interest in mind. Mannie is fantastic.

Side note I was actually really happy that the show respected the other member of her entourage by blurring our her face. Probably didn’t feel comfortable being on camera but still wanted to be there.

She may be one of the most beautiful brides they've featured. Almond eyes, stunning cheekbones, impeccable complexion, and yes, her body in that dress. I'm so happy Gok didn't go with a high neck. Right away, he swept the insecurities out of the equation and focused on the style she wanted. It immediately made her day happier.

Yep yep. Thing is, if ur skin tone is very dark, then very pale colors look GORGEOUS on you. The moment she got in I thought "she needs to try the whitest dress they have" because I just know that'd absolutely make her look even more stunning than she is, because the color would just make her beautiful face pop up and stand out and the contrast makes for a beautiful fit. I genuinely believe that white is the best color women of color could go for, it just suits their skin complexion soooo much!!!!
@@sin3358 I suppose there still would be the question of warm or cold undertones to consider? Mine has changed, but at my wedding, I was more "warm toned" (now rather neutral) and wore a creamy whit dress. My best friend is cold toned and wore a bright white. :-)

The US versions (as much as I still love them in a different way) are engineered to be more dramatic and I just really appreciate the warm hearted sincerity and loving lens the British versions are stylized. How this lady can be so put together with all she is going through is amazing. She doesn't look or act sick, or even tired, at all. Gok found and assembled a beautiful dress for her. She sort of gives off a sea nymph vibe with it. That "mad scientist" groom is a keeper. It seems as though he had already been living his vows before he has technically made them. Many blessings to them both.

I love how Gok encourages women to go out of their comfort zone & try on silhouettes they normaly wouldn't due to low confidence. The brides always end up realizing their body isn't as "ugly" or "bad" as they personally perceive it to be. 🥰

I love that her cousin only commented on the dresses themselves as far as them not being right for the bride. She was so supportive the entire time and had nothing negative to say. THAT is how it should be. And there are no words for Gok. He is truly amazing. I wish we all had a Gok in our lives!!

cancer is horrible, it hits you by surprise 😢 my sister had mastectomy at 37 and it was so sudden we didn't have any time process it. I really hope this bride recovers.

@@hembafantilley-gyado9168 u r so sweet thanks for asking, it's been a year since the surgery in June 2020, thankfully there was no sign it spread so no chemo needed. I couldn't fathom what ppl like the bride and her family go through waiting for results after chemo sessions. 😢

Gosh...this really came at the right moment. As a 27yo I just found out I have breast cancer in both my families (mom's and dad's) and for generations. Soon I'm going to talk to my doctor about what I should do for the future, although I suspect one day a double mastectomy will be in plan. As a 40DD it's very hard for me to imagine my life and my identity after this possible future surgery but wow, this bride is beautiful and sweet and confident and sexy. A true fighter, and that's what I intend to be as well!

Probably because of the fresh "shock" and the fact I still don't feel like telling even the closest people to me beyond my family. Is it ever came to it, there are so many women that choose to have breast implants so they still feel like the woman they always were. Maybe its something to think about.

Since you know about your families' medical history, be sure to get checked yearly, both mammogram and ultrasound. That way you can catch the cancer before it gets too big.
I am the only one in my family to have breast cancer. I had been getting myself checked for over 5 years before they found the lump. Fortunately it was at an early stage so I went through a lumpectomy. It has been 3 years this August. Now I get checked 2x a year.

I had a single left mastectomy back in 2014 with no reconstruction, and I was amazed to find I can wear a sweetheart neckline which my beautiful dress has. She looked just incredible and what a beautiful dress
