- Merry Christmas everyone!
Hope you enjoy our final Christmas song of 2024.
"Our Savior "
Verse 1:
When Christ was come on Christmas morn, He lay in lowly manger
The angels sang, “a Babe is born. He’s come to be your Savior.
Glory to our God on high. Peace has come to earth this night.”
Then they told shepherds, “Go find the child.”
He’s come to be your Savior.”
Verse 2:
And somewhere on that blessed night, stretched root and branch and leave
An ordinary sapling, now became a Christmas tree.
A tree unlike the ones we know, not evergreen with lights and snow
But one that rose up long ago
With Him who’d be our Savior.
Verse 3:
Yes, as the baby Jesus grew, that Christmas tree got stronger.
Then came the day God’s Word foreknew, to bring back all who wander.
There in the garden Jesus prayed, then soldiers carried Him away.
His punishment was not delayed.
He’d come to be our Savior.
Verse 4:
They took the tree and cut it down. The heavens started crying.
From Mary’s mouth there came a sound. Her Jesus hung there dying.
Branches which once sparkled green, were stained with blood, a crimson stream.
The Christmas cross in silence screamed,
“He’s come to be your Savior.”
Verse 5:
When trials overwhelm our souls, and sorrow is no stranger,
He came that He might make us whole. He’s come to be our Savior.
From Bethlehem to Calvary, He took the sin from you and me.
He nailed it to the Christmas tree.
He’s come to be our Savior.
Verse 6:
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, how lovely are your branches.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree, how lovely are your branches.
From Bethlehem to Calvary, He took the sin from you and me.
He nailed it to the Christmas tree.
He’s come to be our Savior.
