- A tutorial of sorts - how to play Unmilitary Two-Step by the great Rory Gallagher.
Apologies for the old-school video quality - if I end up making more of these I might invest in a decent camera! Let me know what you think in the comments below and feel free to ask any questions.
You can find the full tab here: tinyurl.com/y9...
One thing to note is that in the second section, where I play the F7 bar chord and then move to the D7, playing the bass F# with my middle finger, you might find it easier to play the bass notes with your thumb. If I was learning it now, that’s what I’d do, but I’ve been playing it this way for years and it seems the muscle memory can’t be undone!
Superb playing my man
Awesome! Thank you very much. This is an incredible tune. Rory we miss you so much.
Excellent. Really enjoyed this. Thanks for the tab
Superb ! Such a great tune. RIP Rory.
Nice job well done, good luck with the camera, hope you get a good reason to invest in one, all the best !
Excellent! , I just found out I've been playing this wrong for 45 years. Did you figure it out just by listening?
Nice! This fills gaps in where my ear and the actual sheet music from Guitar Player left me hanging, lol
Fantastic
One of my favourite RG . great guitar sounds but I would say a moving caret pointer along the tab would be more improvement to make if you could ?
Cool, Joe, thanks!
right up my alley. thank you so much...wondering what kind of guitar that is too....cheers
It's a recording king parlour guitar
Thank you!
You're a hero
Great playing and I love that song.... your tab is missing in action though 😞
Damn, I just spotted a mistake in the tab :(
At the 0:51 mark, the chord at the end of the line should have a 3 on the high E, not 1 - sorry! It's my first ever tab, it was bound to happen
Also, at 0:23, on the D7 chord, I think the 3 then 1 should be on the b string rather than the high e. But this is awesome and thanks for doing it!
If you're interested I've done a similar video, although lower quality, for Dave Van Ronk's version of Maple Leaf Rag.
