no it's just preference of a department if they choose the one or the other; You might find both red and yellow trucks at the same department as well ... among the full-size fire trucks roughly 50% are yellow and the other 50% are red, among smaller, car or van-based units you might find pretty much any color: besides red or yellow ones there are also blue and dark-blue, green, black, white, silver, dark-red ones around.

My understanding, that can be wrong, is that departments will still get to choose between red and yellow. We'll know soon. Not sure it will be binding either, but it will ease the purchasing process for departments as a lot of the job will already be done through the standard.
@@einarbolstad8150 That's correct and we'll see to which extent the apparatus will be standardized and get a uniform appearance, if it's binding or not; For many years the color scheme was kept were plain and simple, but within the past few years several departments made a bit of their own complex color scheme

Keine Ahnung, vllt weil eine Polizeiwache und/oder ein Anschlagsdenkmal im Evakuierungsbereich waren und man noch keinen Auslöser der Explosion kannte
