  • 2 Week Trial Of Our Courses - mzeroa.lpages.co/gsatrialyt/ - VFR sectional charts can be overwhelming considering the amount of information provided. But understanding these charts is key to proper flight planning. In this weeks video I will show how to interpret a VFR sectional chart.

Is 82 a good grade? I don't fly planes. Unfamiliar with their tests. In my line of work we take safety courses and there is a test at the end and if you get a 99% you fail and have to retake the course.

As a Canadian pilot living near the border this is a great help. US VFR charts are so close in nature but different. This clears up a lot. You might post a Canadian VFR chart showing the subtle differences. It is always a treat to visit and experience American hospitality.

Hi Jason. Loved the video. One thing with the video I had a problem with was the symbology part of the video. You were taking about the symbols but you did not put an arrow or a square around the symbol you were taking about. So as a new pilot I was a little lost. The second part where you showed an example of a chart was fantastic. You highlighted the symbols you were talking about and it was made more clear

@18:41 How do you remember which is MSL vs AGL for tower/obstruction symbols? Well, the number on top (MSL) is the number your altimeter will read if you hit it, the bottom number (AGL) is how many feet you're about to fall (to the ground) ~ LOVE IT..! (Makes sense on a few different levels too!!)
Kind of like my driving instructor (once upon a time) taught us how to never forget how to remember and never forget which way you're supposed to point your steer tires when parallel parking UP vs DOWN hill... "UP UP AND AWAY"...! Parallel parking on an uphill? Wheels point AWAY from the side of the road..! Parallel parking on a downhill? Wheel point TOWARD the side of the road..!
Thanks for helping me along my path to my Part 107..!

Hi Jason-excellent video (where's 123.0?). Here's a word about MOA's and Restricted areas. If you fly from Los Angeles to Las Vegas the path is 'strewn' with all sorts of military flight test areas. In a seminar I attended a test pilot said they do steep vertical as well as horizontal extreme performance testing. An F-18 or the like can climb (or descend) 25-30,000 feet in a matter of seconds. You won't see him at this velocity. A GA pilot has to be 'talking and squawking' constantly through these areas to stay safe.

While there I worked at the local airport (TNP) and more than a few student pilots doing their cross country solos out of Corona, CA were escorted out of the restricted airspace and out to the airport by Cobra gunships.

Alright, I'm gonna be this guy since no one else mentioned it: The "www" is not implied. The subdomain is either configured by the webmaster or not configured, in which case the website will not be accessible using the "www" subdomain.
There's very few good technical reasons to configure a "www" subdomain nowadays. It's longer for visitors to type and can be slower if a redirection is required.
On the other hand, the "" is implied since the web browser will automatically add the protocol to the URL before trying to load a website. That would have been a better example but I think we got the idea nonetheless ;)

I think you should syndicate investors and get licensed to build Cessna 152 aircraft. Many people trust you and I think you could get this done. Many flight schools around the country are using old beat up aircraft that beginners are not finding attractive. These existing flight schools are not reinvesting in their business. I’ve witnessed some junky looking airplanes. A Garmin or two will not overcome the trashiness of poor looking interiors. If I had millions I’d sponsor you in this project.
