Big Blacktail Bucks In California Wine Country

In this episode of Nick's Wild Ride, Nick hunts blacktail deer in the grape vineyards of California. When people think of California wine country, one of the last things they think of is big bucks, but that is a mistake. The grape vineyards are home to large numbers of blacktails.
One of the reasons Nick is hunting in this particular vineyard is because the deer do significant damage to the grape crop. In fact last year, the deer destroyed 20% of the harvest.
Hunting blacktails in grape vineyards is a bit of a cat and mouse game. After several days of hunting Nick was able to harvest a big buck that the owners of the vineyard had been after for many years.
