If you go with the evidence, there is a growing accumulation of evidence about the efficacy of psychedelics as a treatment for PTSD, particularly for war veterans. But this is very different to recreational use of drugs, which can lead to addiction and fatality. There is a lot of problems in UK with both legal and illegal drugs which cause addictions. For the veterans with PTSD legal use of psillicybin once it has been studied and passed for controlled use, may be greatly helpful in easing their torment. This is because one of it's indigenous uses was to help resettle returning tribal warriors after battle, so I believe. Application of old remedies to modern problems can often yeald fruitful results, as Gurudev demonstrates in his own field. As a holistic therapist in UK, I like to keep an open mind about different remedies and appreciate ancient wisdom alongside modern science. So thank you for your podcast and curiosity about healthcare and wellbeing, blessings from UK.

A suggestion : You could try a podcast with alternative medicine healers from the Art Of Living such as Khurshed Batliwala and Dinesh Ghodke(They both are youtubers as well). I believe , alternative medicine works where allopathic intervention does not find a long term solution . Quantum entanglement leads us to this answer ..

Stability allows a person the freedom of choice, my friend. People can pursue their dreams only when they are living in a society where survival is not a daily threat. In a society without security and stability, there are no intellectuals or businessmen or artists or geniuses. Man is constantly in fight or flight mode. nothing better than an animal. Where is the chance then to allow ideas to be nurtured or dreams to be pursued? That is the way all humans were before we formed societies. Civilisation is very fragile. All it takes is a few decades of chaos for us to forget humanity and turn into animals. Our base natures can take over very fast. We can forget that we are sentient beings, with laws and codes and ethics..

I think problem with psychedelics and drugs is, people who never tried any drugs or never studied anything about drugs have this shalow knowledge of drugs, where they have a perception that all drugs are bad and all drugs are same. And putting every drug in same category is really bad idea. I personally think not everyone can handle psychdelics and it is not everyones cup of tea. Also there is a possibility that some people might lose their mind if they over use it. because, on biological level, changing neuro-chemisty is quite risky. Also psychedelics is not some drugs that people can take just for recreation it is a really powerful and spiritual drug. It shows you things which you can not handle. On the positive side psychdelics if used correctly is really extraordinory tool.

Wish he had said he didnt understand what psychedelics are and left it at that. So many strong and conclusive opinions even if one doesn't fully understand the subject matter. But then again once you are proclaimed a guru you start believing that critical thinking on any subject is not needed. None of the humility that comes from inquiry and curiosity. Ah well.
He doesn't know that polyamoery is not over sided, and pychedelic is not weed. He needs to update whatever he did till now

You language shows your educational level
I tried his sky in usa but his teachers are people who don't believe in Hinduism. He gets all his wisdom from Hinduism but doesn't promote Hinduism at all, it is disappointing. He also is becoming more secular and not really helping Hindus by explaining more. Request to Hindus, please read Advaita philosophy, use vivekananda or Adi shankara's direct translation. You will gain more.
Science never satisfied by spirituality Science is very serious and spiritual guru's always neglect things like that I am totaly dissatisfy with answers.
