  • Good little test in the wind for the Starlite 2 and have to say it handled it no problem at all. I definitely think pitching the tent into the wind is the right way to go, that was a good tip from Taunton Leisure. Good thing also about this tent is the space inside should I get tent bound because of bad weather etc. The total weight is 1.8kg including the footprint modification for the vestibule so not too bad either.

Thanks Paul. Yes great little tent and not bad at 1.8kg including the little footprint for the vestibule. Also perfect space for 1 person should I get tent bound.

Cracking watch mate. I've been looking at this tent. I didn't realise it was 3S thought it might be 4. Looks like it held up well. Wishing you well pal and keep up the great content. I really enjoyed watching this. ATB Bob.

Good vid Jock...it's not that much different than the Hilly Nallo so it pays off to guy out tunnel tents that way. I just started using the Exped matts and for decades i have used and sworn by Thermarest but my Uber had baffles blown after 2 outings, i had to return 2 of the new XTherm NXTs because they deflated over night without any weight on them and my new Xlite has just been returned because after 3 to 4 uses the sunlight shines through because the material has failed on the inside . My old XTherm was fantastic and never let me down once but i sold it to upgrade to the NXT version and now i regret that. I have now been using the Exped Synmat R5 and i bought the R7 too and i must say they are much more comfortable than the Thermarests and even though they are heavier i am going to stick with these. Fingers crossed my Xlite gets replaced for a new one so i can sell it and recoup some cash. I dont do any other social media apart from this so maybe Thermarest have run a bad batch or using some inferior adhesive recently because this seems very odd.

Looks a nice tent. Does it give good ventilation in still conditions

Yes good ventilation and not one bit of condensation so far unlike my Hilleberg Soulo

@@jockoutdoors2727 thank you. I notice they do a starlight 1 which is what would suit me. Was looking into hilleberg Enan but it seems the condensation can be horrendous. Thanks for replying 👍

Same at the AKTO, that is terrible for condensation, even with all the vents open and the inner fly door partially open.
