What I always loved is that having Chris's team be only mildly threatening, with Mother Russia being the main threat, and there being no particularly good fighters on Dave's team, you just KNOW that its gonna come down to Hit Girl vs Mother Russia and you're just waiting for that inevitable showdown

Technically not recasted since it was for the original Fox universe

The franchise doesn't really need it. With 'K-A 2' not doing well in theaters, I wouldn't trust Universal with even doing another film in the series. I don't even know WHY Lionsgate lost out on releasing the sequel in the U.S. The poor reception of 'Argyle' that was released in the U.S. by Universal also add to me not trusting the studio to handle any more films helmed by Matthew Vaughn.

@@zyklan2197 It’s actually happening. Back in January of this year, Matthew Vaughn confirmed that the third Kick-Ass movie has completed filming and is currently in post production. It will be called School Fight.
It’s not really as good as the first movie, but it’s definitely worth a watch to see the actors play the characters again. Personally, my favorite scene is the movie is where Mindy uses the sick stick. I don’t know whether to laugh or be disgusted. 😅
I used to watch this movie all the time as a kid and I barely found out like 3 years ago that Jim Carrey was in it

Matthew Vaughn is currently working on Kingsman: The Blue Blood. Taron Egerton (Eggsy) has said that filming will begin sometime this year.

Also theres a movie called Super with Rainn Wilson and Elliot Page, very similar idea about a normal guy becoming a super hero but somehow more brutal. Slightly more realistic and grounded but still a dark comedy, very good movie, definitely worth checking out!

The Union J scene had me IN STITCHES!! It was so unexpected
Jim Carrey after watching it, deemed it more violent than he thought it would be, so then distance himself from the being associated with the film and didn't attend any of the press tours for it or the premiere.
And a good as an actor as ATJ is, played this role so well, I hope Kraven turns out fine for him. Even if the first trailer was underwhelming.
It may not be a comic book film but another Aaron Taylor Johnson film you should check out, is Savages by Oliver Stone. It has a quality cast with John Travolta, Salma Hayek, Emile Hirsch, Taylor Kitsch, Shea Wigham, Blake Lively and the always brilliant, Benicio Del Toro.
The Green Hornet and Chronicle would be my next 2 picks like this!!
