The moment with Aizawa and the Nomu is exactly what the show needed here to ratchet up tension and to show that villains are a legit concern. That "It'll work out, this is for kids," feeling starts to fade a bit
Absolutely, the pacing of it is so well done. Episode 10 was a triumph for the kid heroes against the weaker villains and the capability of the teachers in countering the villains builds up hope. Then Episode 11 is a reality check as the teachers are taken out, the kids are at risk and the villains get the upper hand. I won't say too much, but the way Episode 12 carries that tension forward is just as masterful.
Love all the speculation but a thing to remember is that the vast majority of people in this world has a quirk and those quirks are generally pretty similar from parent to child, there are bound to be quite a few that are similar. Especially when it's just something as simple as super-strength. That main villain just brushed off Deku's attack as "Oh so yours is another super-strength quirk like All Might, you must train with him a lot". Where we are right now nothing has shown that the villains know of the passing of One for All nor that it even can be passed.
@@usman1995ful All For One is the type to keep everyone on a need-to-know basis. And even if Shigaraki did know about One for All, it's not like he can discern who might have it, so there's no point in coming in on a whim for that purpose.
Fun Fact: All-Might always "Smiles" whatever he does, rescuing people, fighting villains, teaching... ect.ect. But if you noticed, he's "Not" Smiling when he showed up at the end. So imagine how he's gonna act in a situation like this. You're gonna see some amazing *bleep*
You two are so thoughtful and really pay attention to everything, even conversations students have w/ each other. Everything for sure will be explained later on, but it amazes how you both think through the episodes.

They don't explain it well in the Anime, but apparently Eraserhead's quirk works on quirks that can be turned On/Off. (like Izuku's) It doesn't work on Mutant type quirks. (like Nomu or Sue)
I have to rewatch Season One again but IIRC when the "warped" students are first shown facing off against the villains in the various areas, Kyoka (with the earphones) can be seen taking a weapon that Momo is generating out of her leg.
@@wb4536 There is. Currently 23 episodes are dubbed. It was put on hold for a while due to the Covid19 lock down situation but with the "Work at Home" campaign, they figured out a way to do the VA from home. The rest of the S4 ep's will be released 2-3 weeks per episode.

Just want to clarify, with no spoilers, the villains don't know about Deku having all might's powers - that don't even know that all might can pass them on, it's a completely unheard of concept in this world. When Shigaraki (the hand guy) went to "destroy all might's pride" and attack Tsu, he was just aiming to kill a student - he knew that would devastate all might, any student would do.
Groups of Students were trapped in test zones with villains. Izuku, Tsu and Mineta escaped. The villains were trapped in the zones with "1/2 cold + 1/2 hot" and the duo of "school bully with napalm punches" and "macho, manly dude bro with stone skin".
Just because Midoriya says "Smash" and even has a power similar to All-Might, almost nobody knows that quirks can be transferred to others via One For All so most people would just assume Midoriya has a similar quirk and obviously idolizes All-Might. There are PLENTY of enhancement quirks in this world and Midoriya's only stands out because he hurts himself when he uses it.

So at best, people might think Midoriya has a similar quirk to All Might. At worst, people might think they are related.
I think All Might and Deku unleash the same level of power in one hit. It‘s just that All Might can rapid fire these 100% smashes, while Deku is almost completely useless after one punch.
It should be stronger then All Might's because the quirk gets stronger with each holder passing it down. But the reason its weak right now for deku is because he can't contain all the energy in his body. That's why.. this comment isn't intended for anyone really but to prove it to myself I just went and watched episode #2 in subtitled version and it's a masterpiece. (Then I watched your reaction again for #2.) The tone is much different, the timing in how events play out is done so well and the actors are so good it is truly an emotional episode. And also extremely funny! It bounces back and forth between funny and emotional, it's masterfully done. Also it's clear that All Might's punch caused a spinning updraft that changed the weather, there was no mistaking it. Also a random note, All Might talked about his injury and Midoriya knew about a "chainsaw" villain but All Might said no, it was in fact an event hidden from the public... a throw-away line it was. Toward the end Midoriya is overcome with emotion it's as if he was punched in the gut, so powerful a scene it's such a seminal episode.
