Hopefully....it's a noticable upgrade and not just adding a few more plants like they did with Skyrim.
They added way more content in Skyrim then just plants for your information
It won't add anything besides minor technical stuff and a bit of CC content.
would have been nice if they could have bundled all the CC content together for one price like they did with skyrim AE, but i'll settle for knowing the release date finally.
Idk if this helps but on PlayStation all the dlcs for fallout 4 is on sale the season pass as well is on sale. $12 I think. I saw the sell yesterday.

If you have creation club mods for before the upgrade. Would you be able to download those same creations or repay for them all
It's Bethesda, you're most likely going to have to buy them again. Any mod you currently have will most likely cease to function once this drops. We're going to be waiting a while for the mod authors to release fixes.
All cc content you already own remains yours, they'll add more content that will be available for purchase, but content you already paid for is yours, this update is an update(PS4,one)/upgrade(x,s,PS5) is free, it's not another game it's not another title, it's an upgrade to current gen, not a different version of the game

The game already runs at 60 fps on series x/s with fps boost so i’m assuming that the only thing this update is going to do on xbox is bump up the resolution?

probably not, they didn't do that for Skyrim
the skyrim AE was paid, the only thing free with the next gen update were survival fishing and i think 2 more creation club dlcs, i think bethesda is indeed going to release an AE for FO4 with all the creation club content
It was semi paid for as your game was updated to 1.6 regardless of if you brought the DLC plus the CC mods are still added to the game but you can't access them without buying the DLC, the sudden release broke pretty much everyone modded game which unsurprisingly upset a lot of folks as they didn't give a heads up about it after years of no updates
I will be happy if Bethesda finally fixes the engine level problems that gave FO4 such issues with frame rate as you near central Boston as they have known about it since release yet still no patch
at least it's not an OTHER version of the game on pc. So mod support, with some updates to core mods would be fine. Hopefully ?
Glad it's compatible with ultrawide. Such a pain to make it so back then. Also, maybe AZERTY compatible so ppl in Europe can use the pipboy without the mouse ?

I think I'm actually happy about this update. I was dreading a creations update like in skyrim. A bunch of fixes, stability, and a bump to fps is actually not bad at all. Only time will tell🤞
I just started on Fallout 76. I'm not crazy about it, but it'll hold me over until the 25th. It'd be nice to have a 76 next-gen upgrade, too. I'm surprised that hasn't already happened (as in an actual PS5 version).
Actually, the 76 next-gen update has already been released. It added 60fps without having to use the x-box high fps mode which used lower quality xbox one mode to reach 60.

I'd hold off playing 76 if you plan to play the Fallout 4 upgrade. 25th is a little while away and you may get burnt out with the TV show and playing a lot of 76. Each to their own though. I just personally avoided playing any Fallout until the update comes out.
@@ColdStarr F76, if you are playing with friends, is a better experience, IMO. Fallout 4 is the better solo game, IMO. But even so, F76 has tons of tons of content and can provide dozens if not hundreds of hours of quality solo play.

Knowing Bethesda, I’m absolutely fearful of this update because I do have some mods that are old, and they’ll somehow fuck up an update.
But hey if they can give me a better quest to retake Quincy than War Paint, I’ll pull up my charge card for that one.

Bethesda know that most PC players will be playing modded games by now. The release needed to be on a Beta so that modders could test and update the Script Extender etc, and minimise broken mod lists as much as possible on the actual launch. I won't be updating, if at all, until after the FO4SE and Unofficial Patch teams have checked and updated these key mods. Honestly, making more content and speeding up the release of DLC and the Creation Kit for Starfield are much more important than messing about with FO4 IMHO.
Hopefully it'll unlock the frame rate on PC
I'm going to call it now, yes this next gen update is a little underwhelming, but this will leave it open to release a "Fallout 4 Definitive Edition" in the future where its actually going to be a decent upgrade to resell Fallout 4 later like Skyrim.
Will it finally give me all my achievements tho? 🤔

But i hope it goes up too. Along with the update, they're changing fo4's mod system, like they did skyrim, and THAT, at least, makes more sense for a mod capacity expansion.

Unofficial Fallout Patch on both console and PC fixes the bugs, though it's fantastic to now be baked in. PC and Xbox already have 60 fps, though optimized for Boston would be very welcome. Other than that, a few weapon and clothing skins? Seriously, Next Gen update? Free update is great, but that is what they should have billed it as. Free update with optimizations and bug fixes. Don't call it a next gen update and then release what they are releasing.
TV show, fantastic. Fallout London, fantastic. Next gen patch? What a disappointment, and I don't believe I was expecting much.

not necessary as you can already get 60 + high res with mods, albeit with no achievements. Hopefully this version hits 60 more consistently.
On pc you can get a .DLL that enables achievements on modded saves

lol, they couldn't get Starfield ready for Stellar Blades release, so they are dropping F4s upgrade instead (which is already waaay to ffing late).

Xbox should go ff themselves for holding back Bethesda and laying off Bethesda employees, ruining Starfield with the Series S and making us wait over 6 months for the Starfield DLC (which some of us are thinking of sueing, as the 1st DLC was promised with the Constellation edition.., coming 1 year later, NOO, TOO FFING LATE, as it seems it will take that long)..
... if the Starfield DLC is not out by the end of April, Bethesda AND Xbox better be ready for a sh1t storm!

@@883kodiak It was just a little over one year at the end of 2022 that they announced it and then they delayed it to match up with the show they never marketed or showed it as to be anything more than a next generation update. It's all the RUclipsrs who always hype things up to be bigger than they are no matter what it is
