Hi, I tend to use water to smooth down the vallejo putty because it is acrylic based, rather than sanding it which can remove some details if I’m not careful!
For a kit that's knocking on 40 years old I think you've got a really good finish. This is one of those kits where the manufacturer repackages an older kit in a new box with new decals and charges a relatively high price for it.
Makes me mad sometimes when manufacturers don't let you know ages of kits on boxes but I suppose they wouldn't sell so many if you could see it's a kit that is 40 plus years old
I mean, I know you said you had your issues, but man, that’s stunning. VERY nice build. Also quite refreshing to see a kit built without s*** loads of weathering done. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
gerrin Yokies back !!! exellent as always and i havnt even watched it yet !! with ya on the Mr Surfacer Black !!! like rockin horse .... ive just got the Harrier GR.3 Hasegawa 1/72 !! how goods that , love the Harrier , bout one of the only modernish type jets id do a build of, it was only £13.99 off fleabay Yorkie
Good clean build. Yes, Italeri are notorious for fit issues and dubious details, but you can't go past the Cartograf decals. In 1/72, the new Airfix and Hasegawa Harriers are better detailed. The best Harriers in any scale are the Kinetic 1/48 offerings but they are a bit pricey. The Hasegawa 1/48 AV.8 is pretty good too.

I do the same if it's not a deep hole I am filling
A wet cotton bud works a treat on wing joints ect

Your welcome and I do enjoy doing weathering but sometimes it's easy to overdo it and ruin the quality detail of a kit
