For a pleasant change she is rescued by colleagues who do understand who you are and what you are doing so she toddles off back to the 'safety' of her lair!, I wonder if she feels hurt that they did not back her up or relieved they got her off the hook?.

Since when was the law, and the enforcement of the law, 'up to the discretion' of an individual Police officer ? - Either a person's behaviour is illegal, in which case they MUST arrest you, under their duty to uphold the law, or it isn't, in which case they only arrest you if they witness you committing a crime during their investigation as to what you're doing, and why you're doing it. Otherwise, they detain you ONLY for the purpose of gathering information to determine if you've either broken the law already, or if you're LIKELY to break the law, but only for as long as is necessary to establish your intentions. The terrorism act can't legally be used/abused for the purpose of detaining anyone acting suspiciously, although in London, it most likely is, very often. Also, the terrorism act can ONLY be used against you if the Police 'reasonably believe that you're a terrorist', and this is not open to interpretation or opinion by a Police officer. The terrorism laws were changed and updated in 2018, after a case involving a member of the public, who was only recording a stop and search of a suspect by the Police in London, and the Policemen didn't want to be recorded. They fought the case very strongly, but lost, even going to the trouble of appealing several times. Only after all legal options were exhausted, did the Police accept the judgement of the court, but it seems that they've since decided to only choose to obey the laws that serve them, and ignore all other laws that protect the rights of innocent people in the UK. After establishing that you haven't committed any criminal offence, they should let you go on your way, unimpeded. However, like the typical bullies that they are, they're not willing to give up their power so easily.

Just because something is unusual, does not make it suspicious or illegal...it's unusual to eat raw onions but it's not illegal.

Wtf, a cop that knows the law, watches audits vids and is willing to challenge his colleagues on the spot to help EVERYONE?
Guys, I think we have a good cop here who will spread his awesomeness amongst his fellow cops.
This is probably one of THE most educational and refreshing vids I've ever seen. Hats off to the "detaining" officer who learned something new on the spot and adjusted exactly the right way. Not the best start but a perfect finish.
Cheers for the vid brother. You make life safe not only for people with cameras but all of us.
