V Vigneshwari, IAS, took charge as the 48th collector of Kottayam district on Thursday. Vigneshwari said she would discharge her duties based on a priority list. "People's opinions will be sought to find out issues which need priority attention. A social media campaign will be initiated for this," she said. Vigneshwari has earlier served as the managing director of the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation. Prior to that, she was the director of Collegiate Education.

@@richuroshan8385 Does money makes everything great. We cannot eat money, you are telling this because you are trained to think likewise, not to think freely, so is the majority. Farming, scientists, innovators, industrialist is more needed for a country or a civilization to survive than these so called public servants and politicans, film actors or any other jobs.

@@richuroshan8385 Doesnt other profession require effort. Every profession there is effort, in agriculture and all great effort is needed. But there is nothing to glorify some profession. Thats just a profession. After all we are going to work, fundamentally to fill our own belly. Otherwise even schools are not needed.
