Love this. I bought a new Suzuki GS750 in black, back in 1979, one of the first things I did was remove the two main engine covers and polish them up on a bench grinder buffing wheel. They looked fantastic, wish I still owned that bike. Memories 😁.
I just want to say you did an amazing job and have inspired me to take up restoring my Shadow Spirit vt1100. It has ALOT of rust and corrosion. Thank you for giving me the confidence to take on this task
This is actually joyful fantastic restoration and nice to watch..you brought out the new look for that machine..well done mate..gohead..and bring the more restoration videos like
I ran into this as I am searching ways on how to fix my purse hardware and I am totally in awe over this whole video 👏👏👏 I did not know you could polish metal like that how incredible!!
Wow what a awesome job you have done. You should be very proud of your hard work. I know there's no cheating way of polishing those parts. Well done sir.
13M plus views in just 3 months, amazing polishing and workmanship. Other vids on the C90 restoration can be found on his site including polishing out the painted steel fenders and clear coating them. I love his guys talent and passion, even shows a restored vice. Guess I'll b busy for the rest of my life doing this stuff, Thanx again man for a good show!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good job. Just a tip or two....1) When wet sanding, use a drop of dish soap on the sandpaper. It keeps the paper cleaner and helps the abrasive action. 2) Start w/ P400 grit like you did, then follow up w/P600, then w/P800 and maybe P1000. This will help cut down on the polishing process times. If that part is cast aluminum (some are), keep wax on it, or clear coat it, or it will oxidize and turn gray again. Not criticizing...just something to think about.
What a spectacular difference you made, terrific work there! Whilst you have the cover off the engine, it would be a good opportunity to replace the original kickstart shaft oil seal, and as the engine is completely stripped, to replace the gear change shaft oil seal too. To complete the job, the output shaft oil seal should also be replaced, that way, after rebuilding, you should have an oil tight engine! Thank you for sharing this video.
You have made today. Thank you for sharing your wonderful work. Never get disappointment from you. You and your family have a wonderful day. God bless all of you.
Yes Honda Japan have some of the finest machines. I can't recall the name of the motor they built for another car manufacturer but it can sure Rev hard.
Can u plz tell the name of the cleaner you used in the start and the brand of the polish. Its awesome restoration by the way. Really good work bro keep it up
That came out really nice. There is something so satisfying about making a dull piece of metal shine like a mirror.
@give me a good name Go away child.
@give me a good name sure they do with 1.000.000 lumen light pointed at it! Lol! Just stand back a mile when you do it!

Same with your car after you waxed it and you can see your face in it. Hours of work but such a satisfying result😁😁

Why buy new when you can take something old and fix it? You learn something, it consumes time, and gives pride in your work.
Builds your patience
And corrodes in 1 day
Electrocoat it in nickel then. Would look like chrone!
