    Outstanding👍 I realize why you'd get questions about cryo treating barrels. Lots of talk on the subject & this video discussion I intend to show others. Note, I have used the process on several custom knives & have enjoyed the results. Enjoyed you videos. Awesome stuff !

      Glad it was helpful! Yes, I can see some benefit for very high quality knives.

    This is an amazingly well edited video. I don't know much about guns but I'm genuinely surprised you don't have more subscribers.

    Have an original 1915 Springfield Armory slide. Would like to shoot it. Have been warned that the old slides were soft and prone to cracking. Would cryogenic treatment substantially reduce the cracking risk on my old slide?

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  Год назад +1

      Probably not. The warnings of old slides cracked because of being soft is BS. I have seen many more slide crack from being too hard than too soft.

    Good subject matter. I have
    only one barrel that has this treatment. It is a fluted rifle
    barrel. 👍😊🇺🇸

    Don’t think a handgun of any kind would be a good application for cryogenic treatment. Read an article about a guy that built Briggs &Straton motors for go kart racing, ( all parts had to be within factory spec) he would have the cylinder and piston cryogenic treated. When he first started doing this his motors would run away from everything after a couple laps when they became heat soaked. They tore down some of his motors and all were completely legal. The treated piston and cylinder cylinder maintained concentricity and didn’t loose power!

      Yes, for some motor parts, & operation in extreme heat condition like the piston, it is a great application.

      Sir, we do import some parts, all companies do. If you watch our Instagram channel and some of our other social media channels we occasionally post pictures and videos of the parts such as slides being machine on our CNC's in Venice FL.

    I could have give your arguments more value if you had not exaggerated the pricing 300%. This shows a clear disregard for facts.

    • @fusionfirearms
      @fusionfirearms  4 месяца назад

      Yes you could, what i am saying is that for most applications in basic firearms for most folks this process is not worth it and most will never use the firearm to an extent where Cryo gives them any benefit.
