First of all.. ask you yourself a few questions
1. can my pc run this game?
2. did i already tryed to run this as administrator?
3. are all my drivers up to date?
4. did i tryed to repair the game (in origin)?
if you did these all and it still crash than maybe this should help..

(I have Realteks sound's.. nvidias graph driver etc.. )
After trying all solutions, like most of you I came to this:
1. Are you using REMOVEWAT? (tried to play without it.. worked just fine)
- So click left down corner on desktop and type CMD - Run it as -adminstrator Type - sfc -scannow. Let it run the scan to 100%. Says its ready -- BOOT computer. (Ok so this deletes the removewat and makes your windows -not genuine) Ok so... check from WINDOWS UPDATE that do you have KB971033 installed.. -Installed Updates
Yes- Uninstall it. AND HIDE IT.
No.- Look do you have it in -Restore hidden updates-.. Make sure it keeps as hidden..
Then getting back your Windows as Genuiene - Instead of REMOVEWAT use Windowsloader by DAZ. (you need a torrent downloader like Utorrent or Bitorrent)

Do you have the WAT update installed, KB971033? If yes you may have got flagged as non-genuine. In order to become genuine again just do the following.
* Launch the loader application and select to uninstall
* Restart the PC
* Install the loader and restart the PC

Of course make sure all your drivers really are at NEWEST available.
So okay then!!! If you're on Origin...right click on BF3, and click repair...Bf3 updates itself..
Ive played now around 2 weeks NONSTOP.. No freeze.. before this it came to me in every 3-10 mins . ****ing annoying!
Still most ppl accuse the sound card w-e but i blame the REMOVEWAT (OFC some might have had that sound problem)
Can someone else test and confirm this also? I really wanna know did it help others too..

THANK YOU!!! I was having Battlefield 3 crashing issues and this walkthrough fixed it! Before I could play between 13 - 17 mins on average, but never more than 20 mins before crashing. I had the sound loop crash after ~10-15mins of play. Applied this fix and it has worked so far!! (Played for an ~hour - i'd say thats a fix)

Well I had crash in bf3 using removeWAT, so I decided to try your method and holy shit it worked. I never suspected removeWAT to do such a thing (btw sfc-scannow was not enough for me, I had to uninstall removeWAT using the removeWAT installer). But now it works Thanks !

@kursun12 yes i installed the loader by daz , basically i did everithing in the description exept hidig the update, windows update installed kb91033 and the game crashed again. So I made everithing in your vid description one more time, but this time no luck.

to get your windows not genuine just uninstall the WAT update, and then do as following, that worked for me :)

My version of Win7 never turned ungenuine once I restarded the computer after scanning. I removed the KB971033 update, and hid it, then revalidated my Win7 with Daz's loader just to be safe. My game still crashes, what should I do? Thanks!

I tried repairing the game, but not running it as an administrator, I'll try that.
But I'm figuring, since my Win7 never turned ungenuine once I uninstalled RemoveWAT, that might be the problem? I never once got the message that my Win7 was ungenuine.

How come turning off sound fixes crash? This is a weird bug.
after i have hidden the update i needed to install a program that will check my system and after that to enter a website to check my software but it said that i have a non legal software and re-installed the update after i have hid it, what i need to do?

@kursun12 So is this fix only for people who do not have a genuine windows 7? I have legitimately bought windows 7 along with my new PC to play this game and i am getting the constant crash/sound loop problem. Will this fix work for me?
If I think I took a wrong step somewhere, but already deleted the REMOVAT and KB971033 and after that installed the windowsloader by DAZ....how can I try and do it again? ....it keeps crashing

but after playing 5 minutes (mostly less) the game just crashes and sound loops.

@kursun12 Hm, after I've uninstalled KB971033 and was going to run windowsloader it already says I got a licensed version. Will try and see if it still freezes
The problem is, I do the cmd scan restart and ok, i can play without the freezing problem, but when I restart my computer the freezing problem comes back

@4nubiS ive heard that if you remove all TM's from anything that has "battlefield 3" in the name it will run more smoothly and stop crashing.
Personally, I DON'T have any TMs, and I still crash.

I used removeWAT to make my windows genuine and I get random computer freezing lockup / sound loop lock up and have to hard reset my computer, Going to test and try this now, if it works thank you very much.
So I've just re-installed windows 7 and then I found this video before I installed WAT. So instead I just installed the Windowsloader by DAZ. That would mean that I don't have this "KB971033" right?
And i also checked if my windows was valid, it was. Downloading BF3 atm and I hope it will work now.

Well...im not sure, is there anyway i can rollback and do it step by step again?...before I used the windows loader there was a sign in my desktop background saying that my windows version was not genuine, now its not there, it only appears from time to time. BF3 works fine though....don't really know what to do.

Weird. Well I just tested out the audio thing by turning off my audio controller in my intel bios on bootup. BF3 ran for over half an hour without the sound loop freeze, so I ordered a sound card to replace my integrated audio. :p
why this should help when I always get Direct X Error and RAM Errors ? Should I really try this? I have a legit Win7 copy so I don't want to do that really

Also, when im playing it states Battlefield3 TM....
In the Regedit i removed the TM but when i go to EA games/Battlefield3 the application is called just bf3. but when i rightclick it, in the description it says Battlefield 3 TM? lol

how can i know if my pirated win7 64bit uses removeWAT or not ? because my friend who gave me says, my copy dont uses it. it has windows activator or something. i really wanna be sure before making my pirate copy not-genuine, or else i have to do lot of re installation. - thanks in advance
