How To Fix Battlefield 3 From Crashing When Changing Video Settings

If you are having the issue of Battlefield 3 crashing whenever you go to options and click on the video tab while in-game, this is the easiest and fastest way to fix the error and be able to play the game! Hope you find this video helpful and good luck out there solider!

hey guys, if you have an NVIDIA graphics card, try going into the NVIDIA control panel and in "Manage 3D settings" find "DSR-Factors" and uncheck all. This fixed the problem for me. Hope this helps.

Dude you're a life saver , My game crashed everytime i tried to join a server since I changed resolution to 800x480 , my pc only supports a minimum of 800x600.

If you didnt got the fps just chang resolution in that file to 1280 720 or something that will support game I have from 30 fps 70 now and you can do other stuf in that file but it wil probably crash the game

Well, campaign works great (80+ fps) and when i bought the game online worked also great, but since a month ago online crashes more and more and more: now I can join a server but I can't move or shoot and i get kicked from the server or the connection gets lost.
The problem may also be in my internet adaptor, because my other games don't work online either, but normal internet works fine....

I disconneted all the DP/HDMI from my GTX 1080 leaving only the main HDMI and still crashes when going to Video options

I updated my nvidia to the latest driver, and I did this what you have showed me, I downloaded that stupid bf3 settings editor, I unplugged hdmi cabel, I deleted everything from documents bf 3 s folder! WHAT THE FUCK

It doesn't work because your computer settings are already on low! I had this problem and then I turned it up to 4 and it played worse! This fix does work! Our computers just can't handle the game :(

After tested , I found the way to fix this shit. go to nvidia control panels --> adjust desktop size and position ---> perform scaling set on : display , that simple.
