WOW! That is a tone of dragonfruit plants!
1,200 and counting!!!
Great video. And tour.
Thanks!
Awesome farm! Wow - such a lovely tour. Thanks for sharing everything. What a treat!
Thank you Mr. Aguila for recommending that base shoots be preserved because they yield the best cuttings. This is not scientific by any means, but (based on your recommendation) I allowed two similar plants in the same pot on several pots to sprout from the top on one plant and from the bottom on the other. To my surprise, some of the plants that sprouted from the bottom topped the trellis first. And, all that sprouted from the bottom yielded more vigorous shoots which appear to me to be healthier than those which sprouted from the tops. I've also found that after about four months the ones that sprouted from the bottom had caught up to those that sprouted from the tops. Stellar recommendation! A thought for you: If a main plant is damaged or not pleasing to the eye, just train a bottom shoot to replace it by allowing it to grow upwards alongside the parent; once it tops the trellis, you can cut the parent for cuttings, leaving the child to feed off of a fully developed root system, possibly with only a slight loss in the harvest for one year.
Excellent observations and ideas, thanks for watching.
Thanks for the Tour🤩
WOW!!! Amazing farm!!!! Thank you for sharing
Amazing - dragon fruit plants - I enjoyed tis tour. Thank you- very informative.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching.
There was so much great information packed into this one video. I am a new grower of dragon fruit, and I took lots of notes. Btw, what was that Bud and Bloom fertilizer that Leonardo recommended? There are several from different companies when I looked it up on Amazon. Also, what does 4s 6s etc mean when you talk about dragon fruit types (maybe I heard it wrong) Thanks for an absolutely fabulous tour.
Beautiful plants
Awesome video. Thanks ✌
Thanks for watching!
Eventually they cocoon the support and rot it, even with the pickets holding it out of the ground like that. Get some years out of it before they start collapsing though. Some of mine are 20-30 years old and I have a few collapse every spring in the winds. Not a big deal but I don’t tend to do them that way anymore. Nice seeing all the varieties I don’t have.
Nice, thanks for watching
Thank you
i love dragon fruits
thanks for sharing
Senyor Ricardo
Nice vid!❤
Does dragonfruit perform better in pot or in ground?
Because I planted my dragonfruit in ground
Maybe a stupid question, but why are we farming in pots?
Yes....in asia different model
To conserve water.
Thank you. Question: Why do most dragon fruit farmers set up their trellis above ground in a pot (vs. setting the trellis in the ground)?
Awesome does he sell large plants
Great video.
does he offers cuttings ???.
Can you ask how he designed his main row? The ones with T shape wooden support. Thanks.
He just came up with it as he built it. I think its a cool design and he's improving it as he continues to build it.
❤️
Thanks!
I'd be keen for a Leonardo red here in aus dude
Mine will finally fruit this season. I'll let you know what I think about it.
@@WhatPlantisthatPaul thanks paul
Suggest me please which Veriyte commercial farming more fruit production big fruit, heat tollerent,Red flesh fast growth.
Hmmm... Not Ocamponis in my opinion. Try some of the hybrids out there.
If you use light color pots would that conserve water?
Probably, good idea
Any recommendation for a companion / pollinator to interplant with purple haze. U talk about sugar dragon, but i want something with a larger fruit.
Vietnamese Red
@@sifakuahuia8576 thanks for the reply, in my experience red flesh flower at a similar time to each other and white flesh at a slightly different time. Would u say purples flower with the reds rather that whites ? Any reason for recommending Vietnamese red ? I have another unnamed semi self fertile red that seems to pollinate well I like better as it’s got bigger fruit. Also do you know any purples that would pollinate purple haze well, like dark star ? It would be nice to keep the row all purple to help with sorting.
Undatus, or perhaps a pink fleshed variety. I also like Laverne Red too
Have not had it yet.
Were are you getting the metal frames from Paul?
Good question, I thought he said Lowes. I'll double check with Leonardo.
@@WhatPlantisthatPaul Thank you my friend. super smart to keep the wood out of the soil, FYI I am buying 2 2x4's for the 4x4 post as its cheaper now than buying the 4x4 post.. lol
How can I visit..
