The video is the whole meaning of the song, this song isn’t anything without the video, cause any normal person would take this song and turn it into a break up song, but the video shows that he died, fighting for the love of his life, and never got the chance to say he loved her, so he came back to say goodbye, it’s amazing, and a lot of people can relate to this cause usually people die without saying goodbye cause they never expect it, it’s a heart twister.
Post Malone is most definitely sponsored by bud light. I can’t recall the video but I remember him showing a fridge inside his house stacked with bud light that they refill for free as long as he keeps their contract up. But also agreed, bud light tastes like how piss smells.

He is on the Bud Light Dive Bar tour again this year! I think this can also mean more than just him not being able to forget about a girl but also just saying goodbye to vices in his life. Got a lot of emphasis on the cig and the beer..could be a way of saying that it's time to give it up, but it's hard. He's maturing but still so young. He's shown a lot of growth during these few years and we all have to reevaluate the things we do when we're young and try to change. It's hard though.

After a relationship ends on a bad note it hurts. It hurts because you really cared about that girl. No matter how much he tries to forget what happened, he can’t as if she’s stuck with him mentally. That’s what he means when he says I’m not good at goodbyes. This message isn’t just about girls, it could be about anything that you value most. However the music video made things a little more physical instead of mental.
I liked the Easter egg of him having a "zombies" patch on the back of his biker jacket to foreshadow his imminent reanimation.

In the video the point of him being a zombie was two fold the first being paying homage to MJ by fusing two of his most iconic music videos “Beat it” and “Thriller” the second being that he went to save the girl but when it was time to save him she ran it points out the issues with relationship building in the modern age and refers back to the lyrics “I cannot save you, cause I need to be saved too” then with him showing up at the end to sing with the crooner (young thug) who is singing about sad relationships and how it needed at least a little bit of inner turmoil to grow he is basically coming back as a fettered version of himself to show her what her lack of a willingness to fight did to him
