As post malone fan I feel uncomfortable while watching their reaction like all I heard from their reaction is "gross & scared" and they don't focus in music and lyrics. Are they acting scared or what? Tf
I'm no expert on Korean culture, but from my experiences let me put it into perspective as best I can for someone not used to it... In dramas/shows: Anything that would cut someone is blurred. For example, a show I watched had a bunch of kitchen knives on the wall and one was blurred. I knew which knife the guy was gonna grab at least. Severe gore is also blurred. Hence why they were uncomfortable with the stabbing and blood. In music: Their broadcasting laws are sensitive about rating music videos and even don't allow songs with cursing or brand names to be on the air. General Public: Guns are not used outside of the military really so it's rare for a normal citizen to have a gun on them - another reason they aren't comfortable with weapons probably. Drugs are also very VERY frowned upon and the public will turn on anybody who even used something that's common in the western market like marijuana. So yes. They were probably a bit shocked at the violence/cursing/ect. It's different from our own culture, but there's nothing wrong with it. Plus not every Korean is like this, anyways.
@@OfficialAwkbe There actually weren't any guns in these music videos but yeah that's the gist. Although I wouldn't go so far as to say "There's nothing wrong with it" when it comes to drugs since even drugs with proven medical benefit that you legally get in other places for medical conditions can make you a social pariah and ruin your career because of their draconian views on the substances (see cases of a Kpop idol getting her prescription for Adderall for her ADHD confiscated and having charges brought against her causing a huge scandal or other idols self-medicating with marijuana which is legal in other countries and has accepted medical uses in most of the developed world but being ostracized for it in South Korea). There's also a strange policy in South Korea where if you're a citizen abroad even if something is legal in another country and you do it there (like gambling at a casino in Monaco) you can be prosecuted in South Korea for doing so, even though you really didn't commit a crime. So their policies are a lot more complicated and morally ambiguous than you're making them out to be here. And this isn't a longstanding cultural feature either, this fear and hatred of drugs and criminalization of addiction rather than treating it as a medical condition is heavily influenced by the "War on Drugs" in recent decades which has led to more powerful blackmarkets for drugs and discourages people from getting medical help for substance use. This is a complicated issue.

This video honestly made me upset😂 I wish they were more open minded and weren’t so sensitive to things. This is an artist telling a story through a music video and the whole time the girls were just like “ew, he’s gross” and hating on his features. They should focus more on the song or trying to understand the artists perspective on things instead of criticizing every little thing they didn’t like. That’s just my personal opinion of course and I think that people who are able to put themselves in other peoples shoes can grow a lot as a human; so to see such harsh criticism on something so amazing is definitely disappointing. Besides that I genuinely enjoy that you extend the genres or artist you react to which I think is nice. I enjoy watching your videos, but this can be something to practice or think about.

Is committing crime in a movie allowed? Why can’t he act it out too? Sometimes the MV does not represent what the message is in the song. You don’t have to watch the music to understand what the song means
Guys, when reacting to a video, please react to the meaning of it. Not only the visual! I know for you the visual is everything in a MV but sometimes, visuals don’t make sense if you don’t get the meaning (by listening or understanding). Us fans of an artist, we want to see what you think about the whole MV, not only your culture shock (that I totally get as you’re not used to it) when you see knife stab in a MV as in a show. Male reactions were understandably as they wanted to understand the song to put the concept together but female reactions... 🙄🙄

The US is so big that freedom of expression and freedom of speech appeals to different groups here. Unlike Korea, here there are many groups who think very different from each other. Although blood/gore and sexually explicit music videos are produced, it's impossible to be considered "normal" or be fully accepted in the US because we lack uniformity.
The thing with post Malone is that all his music videos have an underlining meaning. For example, Hollywood’s bleeding talks about how corrupt and messed up Hollywood and the people who run it are.

I’ve been binging these react videos all night and I understand that the music video is important but sometimes it feels like they just focus on the video and just ignore the lyrics :/
To be fair, these MVs were really visually and story based. The music was not in the foreground, so they commented on the visuals.
Are they acting or are they actually scared? All I here is screaming lol is this a cultural thing?
It's real. TV shows and even medical dramas in Korea have stuff like censored knives and wounds. Guns are almost non-existent in crime shows or they're not used/shot. Won't even mention anything about drugs..
I'm no expert on Korean culture, but from my experiences let me put it into perspective as best I can...
In dramas/shows: Anything that would cut someone is blurred. For example, a show I watched had a bunch of kitchen knives on the wall and one was blurred. I knew which knife the guy was gonna grab at least. Severe gore is also blurred.
In music: Their broadcasting laws are sensitive about rating music videos and even don't allow songs with cursing or brand names to be on the air.
General Public: Guns are not used outside of the military really so it's rare for a normal citizen to have a gun on them. Drugs are also very VERY frowned upon and the public will turn on anybody who even used something that's common in the western market like marijuana.
So yes. They were probably a bit shocked at the violence/cursing/ect. It's different from our own culture, but there's nothing wrong with it.
@@OfficialAwkbe oh okay makes sense
@@OfficialAwkbe i get that but their movies are pretty hardcore I don't get why the mv got them reacting that way 🤣
@@OfficialAwkbe tattoos are frowned upon too. worse than Japan's culture and that's cause Japan use to be worse with tattoos because of the yakuzas.
When they said, "But the main character doesn't look like a prince" or when they were saying he looked weird I was like hold UP what??? That's kinda rude
As a Korean, not a fan of Posty, I'm so ashamed of them, it's not cultural differences, it's just rude and ignorant.

I'm not really a fan of his but from what I no most of his music is really genuine... I felt kind of gross that they were too busy making crude comments and saying judgmental stuff about him because of the way he looked or how they perceived the video.... Like they didn't take the time to really listen. I left half way .
Same here-they were honestly annoying af

Most rap since the 90s features this kind of braggadocio
This makes me laugh cause most of their dramas are about committing crimes.
LMAOOO. just let them watch some 69 videos and shit 💀
Drill music laughing it's ass off in the background. Drill is the type of genre that doesn't depict a crime in the song, it actually speaks about a real one.

You should have them react to OG Western fairy tales. They're all disturbing, Rapunzel scared the crap out of me as a kid*
They actually did in a previous video on this channel. They looked at some of the classical childhood tales and saw the original versions.
I recommend you lessen some of yall offensive comments or better change the reactors.. There are lot of reactors out there that doesn't find EVERYTHING gross scary etc. They didn't even bother to understand some of the lyrics
Post malone is just so wholesome he is just vibing 🥰
So, i get that they are Korean and their culture is different but come on, this is ridiculous, i'm latino and while there may be a thousand things wrong with south america i'm glad we at least don't judge singers by their looks alone instead of their talent and lyrics.
so true, i really don't get korean culture....they judge based off looks, not actual music talent.
they were grossed out by the gore not face tattoos they mentioned the face tattos once at the start and once at the start of the second music video. but they were clearly grossed out by the blood and gore.
I enjoy watching your videos, but this can be something to practice or think about.
lol they are not saying, he's gross. They are describing the stabbing, blood, killing as gross. just saying Bloody and all about the scene, not on person lol
Jason Lee well I just received the statements that were made differently that’s all

Honestly i've seen other korean reactors react to this so y'all shouldn't base their reaction on how koreans react to american media. Everyone reacts differently but its a bit disappointing to see how shallow the girls were about Post malone's looks....i was a bit surprised with how disgusted and scared they were considering the fact that koreans make the best dark/gore films. Ie: oldboy, i saw the devil, Train to Busan etc...

Every korean reaction ever only has the reactors talking nonstop over the video, none of these channels know how to make a proper video lol.
매번 뮤직비디오 리뷰 할 때마다 느끼는건데 노래 소리좀 키워줬으면..

It's driving me crazy they keep calling him "Maloney" lmfao
The thing with post Malone is that all his music videos have an underlining meaning. For example, Hollywood’s bleeding talks about how corrupt and messed up Hollywood and the people who run it are.
