      Marty, it is showing a 2.4 GHZ Wireless, which is common amongst Wireless systems Cordless home phones for those of us who still have one (MY wife has a home office so we need a landline) and my WiFi Mesh has a 2.4GHZ channel. Do you notice any interference with other wireless components running the same frequency?
      What about Latency? I couldn't really tell a difference but you were also playing with a little bit of delay on your riffs so I couldn't give a "fair judgement"
      I had a wireless system I loved the freedom but it killed my tone, even with my lows cranked it really watered them out. it sounded like I was playing out of a tin can. Ditched it. and stuck with cords. But one less thing to trip on,

    • @michaelsclark
      @michaelsclark 6 лет назад +1

      so theres np delay then that's badass. I have a wireless set up for my tv/ stereo and theres a bit of a delay wich would make me weary of buying something like this ,so thanks for sharing

    • @fanelli18
      @fanelli18 6 лет назад

      michael s. clark that’s my concern, interference and delay, I had an older audio technics wireless system and I hated it, my tone got squashed terribly

      Marty how many feet away from your AMP can it handle with good tone, not how far it can go. Also, can it handle EMG pick ups?

  • @CyborgWolf

    Ok this video confirms that you REALLY read the comments because I asked if you could do a wireless gear.
    Either that or a really nice coincidence. Thank you Marty

    i need one of these! love you marty you're my day 1 when it comes to guitar lessons online!!! I remember when i was 8 getting my guitar out and borrowing my mother's iPod 4th generation and searching up 'Marty Schwartz' for some snazzy riffs. Now I'm nearly 17 and I am going for a music career. I'm proud of you for making such awesome lesson videos and proud of myself for playing for all these years,

    after my 4th or 5 charge i am still getting over 9 hours of play in about 12 uses (meaning i used it about a dozen times in that 9 hours).....love it....comes with a charger chord that will charge both transmitter and receiver at the same time

    Hey Marty, thanks for the vid, I’ve had this system for about 6 months, it’s excellent, gigged with it lots of times, no problems. Bass player in my band has the same system, no conflicts or other issues, good battery life etc. I had a smooth hound system before and the xvive is just miles better.

    • @Pablotercero90
      @Pablotercero90 5 лет назад +7

      Its an invisible strap

    • @sparkyguitar0058
      @sparkyguitar0058 2 года назад +1

      I can do it with my Strat by hooking my finger near the arm. Harder to do with my Paul. Too heavy and not comfortable enough grip. I do it just not too long. My bass is even heavier but got good grip for some reason. I got great straps for every one of them just don't keep straps on all the time. Also have 2 different kinds of wireless systems AKG wireless bug, and Getaria rechargeable system. That's my IEM system. But at home I use whichever is easier at time.

    I can't decide between THIS or the Carvin WG5 Wireless Guitar/Bass System I saw this morning, too. They seem very similar, both in price and features.

    You might actually like the Keyztone Exchanger. It’s a guitar pedal that can simulate different guitar pickup sounds from single coils to humbuckers, rockabilly pickups, and p90s. Basically, if you want your Strat to sound like a Les Paul or vice versa, this amp allows you to do so. You will never have to worry about buying another new guitar again.

    Love my Shure BL4 wireless system. I love wireless, I'm untethered. Not a big fan of the warts that plug in to the jacks, vs. the short chord into the jack like the traditional wireless setup. But the warts sound good and that's what really matters.

    Iv had a pair of them for a while now, they are fucking amazing, iv had 2 normal wireless systems in the past and i wont be going back to them again. If you buy more Xvive's you can connect more than one transmitter to the same receiver (theres a button on them for changing channels) , so you can have 2 or 3 guitars playing through one amp etc. The battery lasts a good while and you charge them up by usb.
    Iv got a Digitech Trio+ on my coffee table with a guitar lead going to my guitar and have my Xvive transmitter in the Trio's out and the receiver in my amp, saves having guitar leads draped over the floor. haha

    Hi Marty. Nice to see you again. I was following you from the beginning, at the time I wanted to Lear the guitar, and I was watching your tutorials, that was good few years a go, since I haven’t touched a guitar, I thought was little to hard for me, especially at my age.
    I still haven’t got a clue about reading music, can’t sing, the only thing I have in me expression. I wish I could do express my feelings with sound and the guitar is the tool. Like I said I’m a beginner. I sold my old guitar and I’m so upset about it because was a very nice guitar. “ Fernandez “ can’t remember the model but sounded and looked a million dollars. And now for something not as nice looking I need almost a 1000 dollar. Anyway this time I’m starting with a cheap fender strat.
    I will sub again and thanks for your tutorials, I liked your video from day 1 and I still do, and you still wearing a hat.
    Good luck to you and lots to me 🤘

    Be advised that these are not designed for use with active pickups. I just got mine and it causes a hum out of my amp. I've heard on internet that a small cable in between guitar and unit may help, but not for sure. Other than this issue, it seems to work great.

    Hello and thank you for the review video. I bought a XVive U2 system after watching your video. I have two issues with it and I was wondering if you know the answer:
    1. when I connect my guitar to the amp directly using a cable, I put the amp volume to 1 and it's low enough. But when I connect the XVive system I can't hear anything and I should turn up the volume to 3. Have you faced the same problem? any solution?
    2. the system doesn't memorize the channels. Basically anytime I turn them on I have to do the channel setup again.
