I worked with Copart for a while back in the day. I always noticed Mercedes and BMW's that looked perfect being totaled by the insurance companies. It has to do with the depreciation is what I was told. I actually picked up an old C280 for $800. It ran just fine. It did need a new radiator and some hoses, that was it. Had it for 3 years and then sold it for $2500.

The Mustang with the spray paint all over it might be a good buy if it goes cheap. You can get that paint off, as long as no one scratched or keyed the car it would be a easy flip.
The red 911 is a 964. 3.6 twin spark engine on 16” Cup wheels. Yes, they did make an auto (called a Tiptronic). BTW the 964 is the model used to create the Singer. Plus who doesn’t love a Porsche 911. I am very interested in seeing how your Turbo turns out. A brilliant car, but unfortunately not an Aircooled Porsche. Best wishes from England 👍

Where do I start on the Porsche's…. The red car is a 964, it’s what “back-daters” start with when they build their cars, and they go for ridiculous money for a number of reasons (including the fact Singer and others use them as a base). You should really look into a project with that car as it will put you on the map with a whole new word of Porsche guys. DO NOT put a water cooled engine in that car ☠️ Put a Turbo on it or build a full race 3.8L. There’s no sound like a large displacement air cooled Porsche The black car is a “G-body” Carrera. The 1988 (and 89) examples had a G50 transmission which makes them more desirable than earlier 911s (all else held constant). That Targa has a very desirable can-can red interior with “sport seats” - they’re worth a lot of money. I found your RUclips channel about a month ago (it was the silver GT3 video that got me) and I can’t stop watching. Your content, and your business in general are amazing… I have a lot of ideas… I’ll figure out how to shoot you a message outside this platform.
A lot of IAAI videos of the running engines are fake. Just look at a few Lamborghini, Ferrari or Porsche 911 run videos and you'll notice the wrong sound. Also I've personally blasted them on IG for listing a Bentley that wasn't wrecked as an offsite sale that was actually wrecked and at a Copart lot.
If I wasn’t living with chronic Lyme disease I could do that. For several years as a side hustle I was parting out riding mowers. I was getting them sometimes free and other times paying up to $100 each. I honestly didn’t make much money doing that when I considered the rented storage space I did it in. The only people making reasonable money doing it focus on parting out John Deere’s and or commercial mowers. Looking back I think that our throw away society is being wasteful with how cheap so many products are made. With cheaply built products the turnover of each type of product is faster. Then look at all of the shipping costs, recycling and trash and landfill costs.
- Yeeeeeeeeha. You look good in the cowboy type hat; not me. - Only in TX would you see a huge condo/apartment complex overlooking the LARGEST salvage yard I have ever seen in my life. - Personal values for life in TX. #1: living across the street in a sea of sand with wrecked cars and trucks. Go texas (NO capital T for the obvious reason...If you don't know why the "t" you probably live there). I haven't had lunch, perhaps ME Bad. Last video I saw I left a note what you can call a Porsche (pronounce the e. or Porsch with no e sound). At 7:47 seconds you said Chevy and that is why you can call a Porsche a Porsch. A friendly connection to the Brand Porsche. Like I said calling my friend Robert Bob...we are close friends. I'll move on now. -Rollsly - very creative!!!!!!!!!!!! . BUT I would not call the interior TAN, it is BUTTER - Tesla. You said "they are disgustingly fast" Proof. I race hillclimbs in the Pacific NW with my '86 P-car and the King of the Hill (fastest car of the day driven by a man) all the time is a Tesla. We jokingly call it a giant cell phone on its side. The driver is a quiet, almost meek guy, but the front of the car can hardly hold his big balls. I saw him lose the car on a tight turn going beyond too fast and he corrected without backing off on the gas and kept going. What an outrageous "cowboy". Having said that I am with Mario Andretti when he (I think) said something like " when there are no more gas engines I want to be dead." Like have sex with a hot woman who can't make any sounds. Red Porsche To your question about RUST: It is a big problem with the older ones as they had different corrosion techniques for the body, also some years had special areas of leaking. To your question: hard top vs Targa. Hard tops = more $$$. Targa tops always leak until you find a pro that knows how to stop that kind of action. '89 has the G-50 transmission, which is much better than the years before To your point about the black Porsche: My thinking is it would be a fine car to restore if you knew how to replace parts. You ask whether or not houndstooth upholstery. Hell no, STUPID looking. A fad frenzy over this kind of stupid, stupid looking combo of colors and patterns...STUPID!! - G-body series 1973-1989 best fender look, no fried eggs - 993- 1990-1994 3.6L, 5 speed (crappy automatic) still has the great designed front fender/headlight maintaining the good design of the past with 80% upgrades including 3.6L engine. - 996 this generation dropped the great fender/headlight for the fried eggs look -ICK!! - Macan sucks like the Panamara That's enough geeking. @@scraplifegarage Owned two (1991/964, 1997/993C2) and both were built "like tanks"...in the sense that they were very durable vehicles. As for changing out the air cooled engine for a water cooled variant...not a good idea. For one thing, the classic air (oil) cooled engines are a big draw and command $$ today. Sure, they reached their peak power with the 930...but they are dependable power houses and well designed. Had a lot of fun with mine...before the kids arrived. I live amongst the Alps and would say the 964 was better in the snow (with more narrow 16 inch snow tires) than my Audi quattro A6. When the kids fly the coop in a few years, I will find a nice 911 993C4S...my end game sports car/daily driver.
One of the guys that worked for me back in the early 2000's had a silver 993C4S. Mine was a silver 993C2. I purchased mine used (mint) from a German retiree who had ordered it within that model's last month of production...after he and my German boss (at the time) learned of the arrival of the 996. My boss concurrently ordered a black 993C2 CAB. The retiree had a lower back problem and sold it to me after he replaced it for a more comfortable MB coupe, in 2002. My 993C2 had the full blue leather interior with carbon trim. Inside, it was incredible. However, my manager's 993C4S sat lower, with an aero package to die for. We used to take both cars north to a company factory...back when speed controls were a bit more liberal. What a blast. We didn't have space to really push the cars...so 240 was about tops. I did have a chance to really push that C2 on a road trip to Porsche HQ-Stuttgart, with business colleagues (Porsche Club event). Four Carrera's (911 3.2, 993C2, 993C2 CAB, 996C2 CAB) in a line on the DE autobahn...at times I was white-knuckled doing 265 kmph. Spent a day at the factory/R&D and track (test driven in the Boxster S and 996 Turbo X50). Hard to beat that day...except for the day I spent with the Ferrari F1 team (Todt, Brawn, et al) which included professional test drives (as a passenger) in an Enzo and 360 Challenge at Fiorano...as part of a leadership course with one of Ferrari's F1 partners. Yes...the company that paid Michael's salary of EURO 50 Mio. The company flew 20 of us in a squadron of 4 Gulfstreams from Geneva to Bologna for that dream day. They did not tell us where we were going at 5 am, just to bring along our passports. Great memories.
So I checked out they guy "Iggy"s ig page and he seems to have already replaced his wrecked c7 with another custom wrapped one on black wheels, doesn't look like he went with MTWs this time, maybe Forgiatos

I haven’t noticed that
bro at 19:13 you didnt even show the subaru
Hi, where can i contact you about the sponsorship?
If the 95 Mercedes’ was an SL 600 amg v12 that would be special
Coupe’s (especially without sunroof) are always more expensive than cabriolet or targas in the Porsche world.
That makes sense, it seems that way in most of the performance car world
If I wasn’t living with chronic Lyme disease I could do that.
-Rollsly - very creative!!!!!!!!!!!! . BUT I would not call the interior TAN, it is BUTTER
- Tesla.
Red Porsche
To your question about RUST: It is a big problem with the older ones as they had different corrosion techniques for the body, also some years had special areas of leaking.
To your question: hard top vs Targa. Hard tops = more $$$. Targa tops always leak until you find a pro that knows how to stop that kind of action. '89 has the G-50 transmission, which is much better than the years before
To your point about the black Porsche: My thinking is it would be a fine car to restore if you knew how to replace parts.
You ask whether or not houndstooth upholstery. Hell no, STUPID looking. A fad frenzy over this kind of stupid, stupid looking combo of colors and patterns...STUPID!!
- G-body series 1973-1989 best fender look, no fried eggs
- 993- 1990-1994 3.6L, 5 speed (crappy automatic) still has the great designed front fender/headlight maintaining the good design of the past with 80% upgrades including 3.6L engine.
- 996 this generation dropped the great fender/headlight for the fried eggs look -ICK!!
- Macan sucks like the Panamara
That's enough geeking. Sorry to all of the non-loving P-car people.
Swapping engines. I am surprised you didn't say an LS engine. YES to upgrade. The 997 GT3 with the 6 speed is my dream car. If I had extra money I would sell the love of my life RestoMod-Outlaw for it. Power, shifting, looks. YES!!!
- Yes more videos.
- I can probably see 3 more and then I think that is all I need and will move on but you have so much other stuff I will be around "Kicking your tires" for a while.
- Sorry for the long and WIDE comments but it can't be helped...I have too much wiring in my head; perhaps

Not all 4.6 are slow. Look up the Terminator 😎
I love how he calls a Bentley a Royce
911's do not typically rust since the 80's, as they have galvanized bodies.
Very good to know!
@@jb678901 I would do bad things for a 993 c4s
How can I bid on the 964 ?

@@scraplifegarage ..thanks
The BMW m3 has 7 series wheels on it
So I checked out they guy "Iggy"s ig page and he seems to have already replaced his wrecked c7 with another custom wrapped one on black wheels, doesn't look like he went with MTWs this time, maybe Forgiatos
Huge GTO fan been looking to get one and have found a few and 1 that was twin turboed making 700 whp. Definitely a car that will hold up over time and will one day be as sought after like the 60s and 70s
