We lost to them in 94 in the psal quarterfinals at LIU. He dropped 12 at halftime we were up by 6 and 24 in the second half. We crossed paths in AAU but that game made me know he was destined for greatness.

Great upload. Luv Stephon. Its clear he is a very emotional guy and you can see he has some tendency to break down and cry. I hope he is happy now at China.
btw what a family. Telfair and Jamel Thomas included.

It's crazy how the 3 older brothers look a like and later on in life the mom and dad had Steph and Zach the two youngest that look a like. God really blessed this family. It was on the two youngest brothers to make it and to be successful for the family. This is why i always see good in a big family. You never know what your kids will be, but it's always that one that gets the family over the hump. Especially when the kids were raised the right way.

8:32 he gave a great answer to kind of a dumb question. He could have just as honestly said, “No, we could tell Stephon was going to be an elite player when he was 12 years old.”

  • @kinggee5605

Did they kind of reference Stephon Marburg with Above the Rim. Not the same story of course but the way Dewayne Martin looked with the part in his head looking kind of like Marbury and that gym look just like the gym they were hooping in too in a Above the Rim lol

No doubt. My boy Steph was nice kid. I can't never forget when we beat Steph, Five and the team from Down The Way (O'Dwyer & Mermaid Houses) in the championship at Carey Gardens, in 1992. Classic kid. Good memories. O.T. O.T. in the house.

Stephon had so much talent, but that generation of players were Heavily influenced by Michael Jordan and as a result we had Extremely Talented players that were Selfish and Only wanted to Score ie) Stephon, Stevie Francis, Kobe etc...
