marbury was a living legend when i was a kid..you would just hear stories about him at school and when i finally saw him play i was blown away i remember i use to rock the part in the middle of my head like marbury when i was kid 🤣😂
We lost to them in 94 in the psal quarterfinals at LIU. He dropped 12 at halftime we were up by 6 and 24 in the second half. We crossed paths in AAU but that game made me know he was destined for greatness.
Great upload. Luv Stephon. Its clear he is a very emotional guy and you can see he has some tendency to break down and cry. I hope he is happy now at China. btw what a family. Telfair and Jamel Thomas included.
It's crazy how the 3 older brothers look a like and later on in life the mom and dad had Steph and Zach the two youngest that look a like. God really blessed this family. It was on the two youngest brothers to make it and to be successful for the family. This is why i always see good in a big family. You never know what your kids will be, but it's always that one that gets the family over the hump. Especially when the kids were raised the right way.
8:32 he gave a great answer to kind of a dumb question. He could have just as honestly said, “No, we could tell Stephon was going to be an elite player when he was 12 years old.”
Did they kind of reference Stephon Marburg with Above the Rim. Not the same story of course but the way Dewayne Martin looked with the part in his head looking kind of like Marbury and that gym look just like the gym they were hooping in too in a Above the Rim lol
No doubt. My boy Steph was nice kid. I can't never forget when we beat Steph, Five and the team from Down The Way (O'Dwyer & Mermaid Houses) in the championship at Carey Gardens, in 1992. Classic kid. Good memories. O.T. O.T. in the house.
He was the best player, in the '95 NYC H.S. class, with God Shamgod being next. .. The best player in the country, was Kevin Garnett .. That class was so loaded ..., it's ridiculous. (Sharif Abdur-Rahim, Ron Mercer, Vince Carter, Chuncey Billups, Antwan Jamison, Paul Pierce, Robert "Tractor" Trailor (RIP)
Stephon had so much talent, but that generation of players were Heavily influenced by Michael Jordan and as a result we had Extremely Talented players that were Selfish and Only wanted to Score ie) Stephon, Stevie Francis, Kobe etc...
And we never heard of Zack Marbury until now. 😂😂😂. I still don’t think Marbury was better than Bassy. Marbury was all that and then some. But Sebastian Telfair was ridiculous
The real life Jesus Shuttleworth
Young Stephon was no jokes back in a day
Steph was so special. Defined a whole era of New York 🏀
HE GOT GAME!

Hahahaha I was about to say that.
I remember him as a yellow jacket...lethal weapon.. .final 4
I think ur confusing Marbury w/Kenny Anderson
1990 Final Four
That was Kenny Anderson, ed Oliver and Dennis Scott,.not Marbury.
Rep it Right!
Coney Island's Brightest!

He Got Game Was Base Off Stephon Marbury
Marbury was nice in HS and college. The NBA didn't seem to fit his type of point guard play.
Funny how things work...you're almost required to be a scoring pg nowadays
@Domini478 his stats don't say that though....averaged almost 8 per over his nba career
@Domini478 so first it's he didn't pass, but now you see he has the stats and now it's he's low iq lol...ok bro
Monter Glasper he had a good career 3 time all star average 19 pts a game and over 8 assists not bad for a year 11 career
He was ahead of his time
he should went syracuse
Then Bass story just like his cousins
So what happened to stephons younger brother zack?
played D1 then made $ overseas
hard headed
Was not as good as his brothers especially stephon
Zach wasn’t good but he had the last name that why teams wanted him.
You should be able to sleep and get an 800 on the SAT!
Scoring was different then than now.
8:02 my man ugly as shit but what a story, great job Steph
Jim Harrick man where is he now?
great individual player, that’s about it
he shoulda gone to st . johns
Dope as fuck
lol stephon was a pass first PG
How much did Georgia Tech pay? 💵 LOL
