@@ACProductions77 Hey I managed to change it with your video, just the only thing is how do you replace the rubber? I put another OEM shifter on as a replacement, just it came iwhtout the rubber,

Installed this exact item on my 2016 R3 yesterday, following your instructions. Took less than 5 minutes. The new lever is slightly loose but I added an extra spacer washer and it's all good. Thanks!

I know it is a 7 years old video, but may I ask do you need a trox shape or hex shape bit at 1:55?
hex allen key, no matter how old my videos are I still get updated comments that i still can see today & be able to reply back to.
I absolutely cannot loosen up the bolt like you did at 2:03. It’s set up to be lefty loosy, righty tighty, correct?
if your having a real hard time loosening the bolt then i would suggest spraying some PB blaster on it amzn.to/32ypslP to loosen the bolt I hope this helps

Looking at doing this on my 2016 R3 after I dropped it last week - what size torque bit did you end up using? I’ve tried a few from my set and can’t seem to get it to seat properly to undo the main bolt.
the size I used is a 6mm allen key
Dumb question but, for the nut on the link rod which way did you apply force. Towards yourself or away from you. I know there's a reverse threaded nut on the rod but idk which one it is
everything is tighten towards you.
I know it’s been 8 years old video but I have 2022 Yamaha r3 I don’t know anything about motorcycle but I would like to ch age my shifter. Do you think is it the same process ??
@@nathanschnabl9415 yes the R3 itself is pretty much still the same in that area only difference is the body and headlights are different, so this video should still work out for you

Hey mate I know this videos quite old, but would you happen to remember what screw was fitted on the short front rod of the shifter peg to lock it into the metal frame of the foot peg, and what the setup for it was? My whole shifter fell off while riding a couple days back and I’m looking for a fix - Cheers

Hear because i dropped my bike and bent the lever. :/ how hard is it for manufacturers to make a stock lever have a bending feature like the foot pegs
that's how companies make money, but you can buy aftermarket ones that fold.

Where did you purchase the shift lever? Other then oem and one on eBay I can't find any plain aftermarket levers.. And I don't want whole rearsets

cant promise that it will but you can try if it has a similar design to what you currently have
