I had the great pleasure of randomly sitting next to Jenny Morris on a flight from Canberra to Sydney in the mid 90's. She was wonderful to speak to and made me feel important with her genuine interest in what I was saying about my very ordinary life. She is a star performer and a star person.
Damn that takes me back. If I said cassingle my kids would look at me like I made up a word. I remember feeling like a millionaire because I bought a crappy CD player from Salvos and fixed it myself at 16, and went and bought Mr Natural on cd single lol.
What's Jenny Morris doing these days?? Seems like ages since I have heard anything from her, miss her songs and her delightful moves on stage, my favourite song Street of love, thanks for the music Jenny,,ox
Jenny Morris lost the ability to sing after being diagnosed with spasmodic dysphonia, has been living with the neurological disorder for over a decade., a condition that starts with a croaky voice and progresses to broken and interrupted sentences. Entire words drop out. The soundtrack skips and dips. Sometimes, the condition only affects speech. In Morris' case, it has also affected her singing as well
@kiwi-to1xk yes thanks, I was aware of that not long after I put my message in this site,I contacted last year Jenny at her facebook, she told me her problem as is working now in another field helping singers get what they are entitled to money wise, she is doing ok but seems to be still involved in the music industry, 🎶 she has so many fans that miss her,we all wish her well and may she have a Happy Christmas season 😀 cheers,,,
@@keithhutton34 I became a fan of Jenny's when she fronted the New Zealand band "The Crocodiles" back in 1980 and even saw her perform in a womans group called "wide mouthed frogs" in the late 70's. New Zealand's first all womans band.. so have followed her from day one. She was also a home Economics school teacher..saw her in a outdoor's concert in Christchurch and what a performance that was in the early 90's she had everyone on their feet the whole show..its a crying shame she lost that incredible voice.. I still play her music regularly..I will see if I can find the video of when she was recognised and awarded the New Zealand silver scroll for her work as a New Zealand singer.. after a few words she has a interpreter read her speech.. brilliant artist
@kiwi-to1xk yes mate I saw her get that award, you have had some good female singers come out of new Zealand, like Jenny Morris, Dinah Lee and can't forget Hayley Westenra, I have all there cds,as for Jenny I did meet and talk to her some years ago when she was doing a song in a old theatre in Sydney, "You I Know " thanks my friend I can see you are a music lover like me,and I am now 76,still like the same music and artists now the same as when I was a teenager, lol
Jenny is such an underrated, incredible talent. She’s got a phenomenal voice.

Fantastic.
Amazing cover! Only discovered it in 2023. Jenny has an amazing voice!
I remember buying this, my first ever cassingle in 1990 because singles were no longer released on vinyl.

Best version of the Janis Joplin classic.
Love Jenny Morris ♥️ A great singer in her own right and loved how she backed up INXS especially when they rocked the royals 🙌
Geez, I’d had the hots for her when I was a teenager! And boy couldn’t she belt out a tune…
