Body Dysmorphia, Lupus, Vitiligo, along with depression and anxiety still didn't stop this man from being the best entertainer and artist to walk this earth. Along with being the most beautiful, caring, giving, genuine, human being! Bless your soul MJ, Long live the King!
Weight loss, the vitiligo, and different hair styles were a big factor in his looks too. If you look at his face you can still see young Mike. Especially in his eyes. But no matter how MJ looked, he was always beautiful to me ❤
yeah I think weight loss and hair is the biggest factor. But I can understand him, during his life he lived so many bad things, he didnt have a childhood, think about seeing your face on newspapers everyday, it should be really hard, if he was feeling good that's enough for me. No matter what, I love him
That first rhinoplasty was perfect, it was an amazing result at a time when rhinoplasties were a relatively new procedure with very little research and knowledge. But Michael let his body dysmorphia take over. Even the 2nd rhinoplasty was a great revision result, as seen on Michael's Thriller album, but once he got that 3rd rhinoplasty for the Thriller music video it started giving him breathing issues and structure problems and there was no going back after that
It all makes a lot more sense once you put it all together. He obviously had some form of body dysmorphia, throw in vitaligo, those burns, a broken nose and the fact that he was literally the most famous person in the world with unlimited money and it's really not that shocking that things got out of control.

You have to question the ethics of the surgeons. There has to come a point where they say 'this can't be done, you will compromise your breathing etc'. Too many were after money and status to actually care about MJ's welfare. He clearly had a form of dysmorphia/perfectionism that surgeries were never going to cure. In any case, whatever MJ did to his face and body, he still remained an incredible human being.

I have a friend who was very depressed and wrote a letter to Michael Jackson. Unbelievably, but true, Michael Jackson personally wrote back to her and offered support and help. I believe this story to be totally true. What a beautiful human being! RIP Michael Jackson. We need far more people like you in the world.
Naw only way to believe that is to see the written message lol you wouldn’t just lose that or throw it away. If y’all were young enough then her parents probably wrote it like “Santa puts gifts under the tree” but that would be incredible if he did
Really? He was "beautiful" to u? He looked like a zombie, approaching children to eat them. I doubt u really believe what you're saying. You're just saying that to get likes.

The glove, the hat, the hair, everything that was supposed to be a traumatic experience for him originally, he turned it into something magical for the audience, and eventually they all became his undoubted iconic symbols that people would remember him forever
Exactly! He absolutely hated that he was so famous and still black! He decided to change everything and even adopted white children to give them his fortune because he did not feel black in the inside. He was a white man
He is the king of pop and nobody will never be able to do anything like Michael was doing he is the king Michael Jackson he was gone to soon and he did suffer from everything that people did to him and they were is friends that he spoiled them and they turned around to make money out of him he did suffer from a young age until he died and still they are still after him leave them alone and make your own money like Michael did he work very hard to be able to dance and is voice was wonderful I wish he could of had done one show he would of been a wonderful show I can imagine how he would look into the clothes that he had in mind and some was done and they look great but he did not made it he would of been so happy to be back on the stage
He had body dismorphia, also he didn't receive love from his parents and he didn't have others sources of love during his growing up phases, so psychologically it had a impact plus he was a perfectionist ... He was so beautiful, I wish someone near him could have told him in the most sincere way from when he was young and even after that accident "You are the most beautiful man in the world" ... But sometimes even that is not enough and that was the case.
When I was a young teenager, I decided to do my own research and watch his interviews during the early stages of RUclips (2005). I related so much to him as far as being insecure, and having a domineering father. It made me look at him differently than recognizing the outside appearance. The world is so cruel. I paid attention to the messages in his music which made him beautiful inside and out no matter what he looked like
I swear he was so beautiful without those surgeries. So pure hearted, talented, loving. He had great sense of style. There will not be another artist like him ever.
Because you were such a close friend of his in order to tell us these things not made up from what he showed to the public. You just sound like a swooning child if you weren't
As a massive fan of MJ I must be honest, he went overboard with plastic surgeries. The root of his problem was is his father laughing at him since childhood and calling him big nose.Every plastic surgeon suggests no more than two plastic surgeries on his nose and he had much more. She also had a body dysmorphia, vitiligo and lupus which didn’t help a healing process.Anyway are used to love him and I think he was beautiful💕💕💕
The detail is the only MJ related channel on RUclips that knows more about the subject than I do.... AND THEY DON'T SHY AWAY FROM TOUCHY TOPICS LIKE THIS.
*"Plastic surgery wasn't invented for Michael Jackson."* He could do whatever he wanted. He was such a beautiful human being inside and outside. I love him so much no matter what . ♥️♥️♥️🌻
I still see the little Michael when he smiles. You can tell the difference is not that much. It looks dramatic only because of vitiligo, ageing & different hairstyles. If you google before & after of any celebrity you can notice a huge difference but nobody talks about them but him cause of course he is Michael Jackson. People expected him to look like the same 25 years old thriller’s Michael at the age of 40/50 like how? *Though he maintained his body n himself very well I must say he never looked old even at the age of 50 he was looking like a 35 year old man.
Like many others around the world, I was worried about whether Michael could still dance at 50, and I was saddened and depressed by his passing. But when I saw ‘This Is It’ on its opening day in theaters, I was shocked. As you said, he didn’t look 50 at all and remained a genius. His creative spirit returned, and the footage from two days before his death showed his final energy being unleashed-it was all divine. Even 15 years later, it’s amazing that there are still so many comments. Many people became fans after seeing him dance at 50.
Michael’s skin color is the main reason why everyone thinks he went crazy with surgery. For some reason they ignore that he could not control his vitiligo. Ofcourse he had 4-5 nose procedures but he was trying to find what suited his face. By the time he did, his nose was already weak from lupus and the other 3 procedures. Michael was always handsome, just certain circumstances like his scalp injury, lupus, and vitiligo forced him to change. As far as cosmetic surgery, he still looked great. Aging plus pre-existing health issues made it harder for him.
@@siredtodamonsalvatore9491 Michael Jackson suffered from discoid lupus erythematosus, a chronic autoimmune disease affecting the skin characterized by atrophic and discoid plaques over sun-exposed areas of skin. The presence of both lupus and vitiligo was confirmed through the years by several physicians and clinics who had treated or examined Michael throughout his life, and also after his passing.
Dee Jay His grandfather had vitiligo on his hand. It skipped Joseph and only Michael got that gene. His form was the aggressive universalis kind. It can spread over the entire body within a matter of years and for him it took about 8 plus the treatments he did to even out blotches. It was really obvious on his chest during off the wall but it spread after thriller and lightened certain parts of him during Bad. Michael hid it with makeup but it was everywhere. His lupus did a number on his skin and nose also.
@@TheGossipGyal “only Michael inherited that gene” is not accurate, my friend. Jermaine has spoken several times about him having it as well, but only in a small area, whereas Michael’s was progressing aggressively; it was a specific form of Vitiligo that affects the entire body, as you mentioned, yes. Joseph’s aunt, I believe it was, also had Vitiligo, and Prince inherited it, as well. All in all, Vitiligo is most definitely inherited in the Jackson family.
But nobody at least tries to understand what this man is going through or at least tries to reason with him, not the best thing they can do is make fun of him like idiots.

@@blkrr1349 Michael Jackson admitted in front of the whole world to sharing his bed with other people’s children. That’s creepy and incriminating on its own. “I like my negro nose with Jackson 5 nostrils” if only he knew how beautiful his original nose was and the surgeon did such drastic changes. He was handsome in his youth especially. He didn’t need to change a single thing.
The only beautiful thing is to be natural and healthy, nomatter what your starting point is. We must get the best out of what we have. Can't change nature.
As a child I thought there were 2 Michael Jacksons. One being a black kid and the other a white man... It took me a ridiculous amount of years to figure out it was the same person.
Off topic but Michael Jackson's fans are one of the kindest, resilient and most compassionate fans I've ever come across. they really display Michael's heart. It's so comforting especially living in this cruel world.❤❤❤❤

Up until the Thriller Era, he looked handsome as fxck! No 🧢. The subsequent era's he didn't look so much beautiful as before cuz of his continual surgeries.
@@mdooms76 stop being mean. its fine you have an opinion but dont say rude things about his face! do you know everything he’s gone through and how insecure he was? gosh
The man was insecure about his appearance. Everyone mocked and belittled him for trying to feel comfortable in his own body. During his life, he never found peace. I hope now he rests in it eternally 🙏🏻
The story about initially breaking his nose during rehearsal was made up. Apparently in 78/79 Michael would mention getting plastic surgery to reduce the size of his nose partly due to the "big nose" nickname and derogatory comments from Joe and some fans about how he wasn't cute anymore. He also started looking a lot like his father and this distressed him further. Only problem is, he was terrified of going under the knife, and couldn't bring himself to do it for ages. Until one day he just said he'd had enough and disappeared, left Hayvenhurst without really saying where he was going. And when he came back he had tape on his nose and stayed in his room alot till it healed. He was initially happy with the result as seen in his confidence in those 1979 music videos, but after a while felt it was still too big...
@@thedetail. When filming the Wiz and living in NYC with Latoya he apparently confided in her a lot about his insecurities with his nose and appearance. He would apparently say "It's just too big" and "I'm gonna get my nose done" half jokingly. She tried to reassure him that his nose was fine. I think she was the only one who knew when he made that first appointment.

I've never understood the media's obsession with MJ's plastic surgeries. I mean, If Van Gogh, can cut off his own ear,....MJ, can do whatever he likes with his own nose!
True. But MJ was a major public figure, probably as big as Coca Cola at one point in terms of worldwide popularity.. The media will be looking to magnify anything about you if you put yourself in the spotlight. Also however much you love the artist you can't deny the drastic change from his appearance up to the early 80s to when he passed. Nothing like it had ever been seen before to that extent
¡exacto! pero como la idea siempre fue dañar su trayectoria artística y profesionalmente era grandioso y su trabajo era impecable, entonces lo atacaron por su apariencia física y su vida privada.

Here’s the answer to your question at the end, for a lot of us I’m sure. He had a lot less surgeries to purposely change his natural appearance than we expected, and a lot more that were needed for reconstructive and health/comfort purposes than expected.

In an interview, when asked about his surgeries, Michael stated that he only had two out of his entire life. Not that it's anyone's business, but I know he had more than two. He also said "I can remember having two," which means that he might've been unable to even remember all the other times he had gotten surgery. In a book(I think it was in Jermaine's book), Michael looked in the mirror and looked shocked and said something along the lines of "What have I done to myself?" So he might've been hypnotized or something of the sort. I mean, he was always handsome to me...but it's possible that he was not mentally or physically aware of what he was doing regarding the surgeries.
Supposedly in 2008 he told one of his friends that he regretted having done the surgieries. He reportedly said something along the lines of: "I don't know what I was thinking, I was young, and young people make mistakes." He also said some more stuff but I can't remember.
I for one think he suffered from body dysmorphia. He said on the private phone calls video that he did like the surgeries he chose to have done. Saying he might have been hypnotized could be very demeaning when you consider that he had untreated mental health problems, which BD is.
@@GargeBarge I totally agree. @@wesdon8131 Right because there was mental trauma. I think it had something to do with his childhood and the way he was treated by Joseph, some people can't handle it and some can and he's an example of not being able to handle it very well compared to his other siblings. He should've gotten psychological help because there was trauma that really messed him up mentally.
If Michael had done all that today, it wouldn’t be a big issue. These days almost every celeb has had some sort of plastic surgery. I think after the first nose surgery, he struggled for a perfect nose, that’s why he had more. Wish someone had told him it was perfect. 😞
I'm shore body dysmorphia and anxiety played a part in his multiple nose jobs; but I also believe the Lupus played a "big" part in his surgeries too. Not just on the nose jobs but also the attempt to stretch the skin to cover his scalp. It seams that all the attempts to fix the issues didn't work because of the lupus and why the nose jobs in particular keep getting worse to the point that he couldn't use his nostrils to breath anymore. "Thankfully" the restoration to his nose in his later years was a successes; looking better then it had been. Though it begs the question; if Michael "never" had lupus would he of gotten "as many" nose jobs as he did?
He has struggled so much , I am amazed how he managed to continue his dance and music career with such difficulties ... Hats off to him , now I feel more of a fan of Michael Jackson... No one understands his life and People say he did it for becoming white , totally wrong...

@Joe Ang no, but that doesn't mean there seems to be some sort of double standard. Jackson isn't the only person to get some sort of alteration to their nose. Besides, people these days push this idea of "it's their body. Let them do what they want with it". And if you poke fun at anything about their body, it's a crime. But the same doesn't seem to apply to Jackson. The reason he got surgery in the first place is because his father made fun of his nose, as well as cousins of his, while growing up. It's just stupid that people talk crap about Jackson, but treat it like a crime to say anything about Eilish or another celebrity

The surgeries were unnecessary. He was blessed with good looks and unmatched talent. He was surrounded by too many jealous and heartless people. Really sad. 😢
This really makes me sad because body dysmorphia is so difficult to deal with. It started when he was really young. I wish there had been someone around him back then that was paying more attention to him as a person and made sure he got the help he needed instead of just letting him fall into this spiral of self loathing 😢 I feel like he would have been a different person in that way if someone had payed attention.
It’s not about his looks...it’s about his heart and soul his talent and the incredible human being he is...who cares about the surgeries he had...the man is handsome inside out..
Everybody targeted MJ for plastic surgeries that were inevitable, but no one talks about all the cosmetic surgeries and butt lift of the Kardashians aah.. the hypocrisy
The only surgical difference that I honestly didn't like were the obvious cheek implants that he had gotten done sometime in the early 2000's, specifically in 2001 if I'm not mistaken? They just changed his entire facial appearance and made the middle and sides of his face look extremely out of proportion. Thankfully he didn't keep that look for very long, as just a year or two later, his face started looking normal again. Other than that, I never minded anything that he did, as it was his personal choice. Still a major fan of regardless of his looks. R.I.P Michael Jackson
Around 2000, his expression was dark, and he looked like a different person. In the book by his manager Frank Cascio, it’s mentioned that during that time, he was most dependent on painkillers, and his consciousness was hazy, but he gradually reduced them after that. Around 2007, when his energy returned, he started to look like the old Michael again.
I don't have enough words to praise this super talented entertainer.. There has never been and never will be an entertainer close to him.! Not only on the stage but in life he was kind and pure, generous and unique. He will be so missed . rip MJ 💜
There's a small handful of pictures of Michael from 1979 that show that the result of his first nose job was not his "Off the Wall" look, but something in between. Thinner nostrils, but still the same wide bridge. The breathing issues from that made him get a second procedure, and THAT was the look he had from 1979-1983. You also neglected the scleral show (surgery on his eyes to make them bigger) in 1982 (if you look at the alternate photos for the Thriller cover, you can see that his face, from different angles, is still somewhere between his "Off the Wall" look, and his his "Thriller" look). Another thing, if you look closely during the beginning of the Thriller video (before he turns into a werewolf), Michael had another simple procedure to make his nose smaller. It must've been the last thing they filmed, as it doesn't look like that in the "making of" video, when we see them applying the werewolf prosthetics to his face. Also, some time in 1984, before the Victory tour, Michael not only had a chin implant that made his face longer, but he had something done to his lips to make them look thinner. Any high-res photos of his face will show that. Sometime in 1985, after "We Are the World", but before filming "Captain EO", Michael had another procedure done to his lips which gave him that "lizard smile" look that he had during the "Bad" era. The only procedure I can't seem to figure out is, he had something done that made his overall face look longer sometime between shooting the "Bad" video in 1986, and before the album was released in 1987, as you can tell the overall shape of his face is still round 9or relaly, more "square" than it was before then), but by 1987, it appeared more "oval". Other than that, the jury is still out on if he had cheekbone implants, or they were just more prominent from weight loss.
I can only imagine how he felt when he heard they wanted him to “darken his skin and wear a fake nose” for the filming of you rock my world. After suffering from vitiligo and his obviously extreme insecurity of his nose that must have really hurt him. Poor guy
Thank you but someone in the comments wants to bash me for saying that he looked good in his later years even though i also stated he looked good before
Around 2000, the expression was the hardest. The smile was gone, but That was the time when drugs were the hardest. It has improved since 2007, but Martin Bashir's malicious program was a human rights violation. He's a terrible person. If it's true, I wanted to know the secret of his creation.

You have to question the ethics of the surgeons. There has to come a point where they say 'this can't be done, you will compromise your breathing etc'. Too many were after money and status to actually care about MJ's welfare. He clearly had a form of dysmorphia/perfectionism that surgeries were never going to cure. He was so handsome when he was younger. Smooth brown skin. The first nose job was MORE THAN ENOUGH.
YESS FINALLY SOMEBODY AGREES
Michael’s skin color is the main reason why everyone thinks he went crazy with surgery. For some reason they ignore that he could not control his vitiligo. Ofcourse he had 4-5 nose procedures but he was trying to find what suited his face. By the time he did, his nose was already weak from lupus and the other 3 procedures. Michael was always handsome, just certain circumstances like his scalp injury, lupus, and vitiligo forced him to change. As far as cosmetic surgery, he still looked great. Aging plus pre-existing health issues made it harder for him.
Whats lupus?
@@siredtodamonsalvatore9491
Michael Jackson suffered from discoid lupus erythematosus, a chronic autoimmune disease affecting the skin characterized by atrophic and discoid plaques over sun-exposed areas of skin.
The presence of both lupus and vitiligo was confirmed through the years by several physicians and clinics who had treated or examined Michael throughout his life, and also after his passing.
I was never really sure of Michael’s vitiligo claim, but it’s plain to see in his home video where he’s practicing his dance moves.

I think this is more believable
@@thedetail. When filming the Wiz and living in NYC with Latoya he apparently confided in her a lot about his insecurities with his nose and appearance.
I agree, there was deffo something from a mental perspective that was not right. I always wonder why he never sought therapists or psychologists.
I for one think he suffered from body dysmorphia. He said on the private phone calls video that he did like the surgeries he chose to have done. Saying he might have been hypnotized could be very demeaning when you consider that he had untreated mental health problems, which BD is.
@@GargeBarge I totally agree.

Besides, people these days push this idea of "it's their body. Let them do what they want with it". And if you poke fun at anything about their body, it's a crime. I too use to think I could use facial improvements, but I realized that if other people don't like the way I look, then that's THEIR problem. I shouldn't have to feel upset with how I look because of them! I just wish Michael could've been told the same. 💔
Before 80’s:
Michael Jackson
After the 80’s:
Skeletor
Beaty is always in the eye of the beholder. What Michael has in his heart is more beautiful than any external beauty. I love you Michael. Don’t you ever change.
Tbh Michael really just didn’t change much to me, idk call me crazy but the main difference was his skin color
Yeah that's true mostyy just his skin and hair and well nose that's the only thing that changed
Only hair and the vitiligo. Hair made him look really different cuz in this is it. He looked like the 90s just a little skinny cuz of the pressure he faced
@@Aahaan29 That's true
Exactly.
Facts
how much pain he went through... still he was more strongly come up ... what a talented guy,
He looked good no matter what. 💕
Why does it matter
This is gonna be a interesting comments section

I thought so too. Still waiting for it to happen.
At twelve, just landed from Europe to NYC; at thirteen years of age was introduced to Michael Jackson via when 5 years of age on the Television. He was an immediate hit for me; followed and have ever since. Miss Michael Jackson!
This video confirmed so many therioes I had. Looking at michael in pre 1999 and then looking at him post 1999 and it's like his head changed shaped, I always felt t was a face lift or something. I also always felt that he 2001 was the one time I can say Michael looked bad but by the living with Michael doc he looked so much better. I wish Michael knew how beautiful he was.
What is it about 2001 that looked different?
@@steelstreet3765 Very thin and uplifted nose, hairstyle and maybe Botox.
In the 1st video of this channel I thought they won't do so good but man, I am blown away by this channel's progress now. Now I totally love this channel. Now I did not insult them in first sentence. I am an MJ fan, but this channel made me love more of him. Thank you. ❤
Oh thank you so much!! ❤️
Welcome. You made me subscribe.👍👍
👏👏
The surgeries were unnecessary. He was blessed with good looks and unmatched talent. He was surrounded by too many jealous and heartless people. Really sad. 😢
This really makes me sad because body dysmorphia is so difficult to deal with. It started when he was really young. I wish there had been someone around him back then that was paying more attention to him as a person and made sure he got the help he needed instead of just letting him fall into this spiral of self loathing 😢 I feel like he would have been a different person in that way if someone had payed attention.
It’s not about his looks...it’s about his heart and soul his talent and the incredible human being he is...who cares about the surgeries he had...the man is handsome inside out..
exactly :)
Indeed
Omg exactly
Why did you even watch the video then?? No one said he was heartless, talentless, etc. It's just not the subject of the video.
Such a shame, he didn’t need plastic surgery. He went from a handsome guy to a walking day of the dead. So unnecessary.
Everybody targeted MJ for plastic surgeries that were inevitable, but no one talks about all the cosmetic surgeries and butt lift of the Kardashians aah.. the hypocrisy
Right
those were not inevitable and the Kardashians are constantly being roasted over plastic surgery lol
@@crodo123 exactly
They are hated on too
How do I get numbers 1 2 3 4 wqq2r
Wished he didn’t have self confidence issue. 😔 but I love for who he was. He was such a talented kind hearted man. Love MJ forever!
He also had that monkey beard around the same time.
I wonder if Michael's top lip area was paralyzed due to poor work done on his nose. Maybe the cause of that lizard smile
I can only imagine how he felt when he heard they wanted him to “darken his skin and wear a fake nose” for the filming of you rock my world. After suffering from vitiligo and his obviously extreme insecurity of his nose that must have really hurt him. Poor guy
i don’t care how much plastic surgery he had at all. in my opinion he was cute before and after. even when he was 50-oop
Thank you but someone in the comments wants to bash me for saying that he looked good in his later years even though i also stated he looked good before
He should have stopped in 95 for a time surgery was improving his looks by early 2000s his look was beginning to look like it had went too far
Around 2000, the expression was the hardest.
The smile was gone, but
That was the time when drugs were the hardest. It has improved since 2007, but Martin Bashir's malicious program was a human rights violation. He's a terrible person.
If it's true, I wanted to know the secret of his creation.
"HIS NOSE BECAME UNNATURALLY WHIMSICAL" LOL that description is oddly on point
Its a most expected video of my life, thank you
I think the Pepsi accident really was so painful that it just further added to his stress and wanting to be the best for his fans.... also who knows what these Doctors were saying to MJ.... no matter he was beyond words and in Heaven celebrating 🙏🏽✨😘🎶
I was only 4 when he died so I didn’t really know who he was, but as I’ve gotten older i started knowing who he was but I wish he was still alive he truly was a good singer.
I'm a new MJ fan I just want to say this I LOVE MJ so much i miss him so much he just Wanted some love and peace RIP KING ❤️
