It is the ONLY manga that touched me on a deep, human, emotional core that I only knew from novels and movies. Its truly high art, so you definitely are missing out

Watching this video I didn’t realize how I stumbled into this genre I got in through Vinland Saga, then watched Monster, and I read a bit of 20th century boys but I put it on the shelf for a bit. Realizing I technically started with Dorohedoro, but I guess I didn’t realize it up until I watched this video Guess I have a new yet familiar genre to latch onto.
When you introduce someone to something, the variety and freedom of choice is improtant. All of your recommendation are the big name and miss a large portion of seinen which is the slice of life. I've never enjoyed battle seinen like Vinland saga, Berserk and Vagabond, the climber plot is convulted cause of the changing of author three times. People may like Monster if they are into psychological manga. However, where are 3-gatsu no Lion, Witch Hat Atelier, Blue Period and some other in the same gerne or some great romance like Skip to Loadfer or Insomniacs after School and some "healing" manga like YKK, Girl's Last Tour and Frieren.
Understandable. Though I also understand why he went with these options as they may draw in people more easily whilst drawing parallels from the demography most are already accustomed to. Chances are high if you tell someone about anime/manga their first thing to reference will just be a battle shounen series. And what would be a better gateway than a battle seinen?
You're the type of guy who likes to be told how knowledgeable you are and how you have such refined tastes, but what you really are is a person who over values your own opinion.
