Great video! I grew corn for the first time last year. I just shook the worms off and cut off the part they destroyed. The corn was still perfect!

Nice video! I'm trying that with my corn! Mine always end up looking like an episode of the old series Green Acres where everyone is joking about the size of the ears of corn! 🤣🤣🤣

Hi Tee! I had some success last year with corn in containers! Ear were small but pollinated pretty well! Didn't fully realize they were heavy feeders! I'm trying a baby corn and will succession plant! That's the plan! Thanks for the refresher tips! Blessings

Yes corn loves nitrogen but once they start to put on their ears you have to slow down with that so that you would get great size ears Thank you for watching Yankee Sista Homestead💚🌽🪴

Hi Tee! I had that same problem with my corn last year...but this season I put pvc pipes up and placed tulle over the pipes to keep my corn safe! So far so good! I have harvest one corn a week ago...and have several more to harvest soon. I also just planted Peaches and cream corn in cell trays, so when my sweet corn is done...I will plant my Peaches and cream.
Good luck with your corn, and thanks for sharing!👍😊
    And...Happy Mother's Day!⚘️

Wonderful video. I wish I had ground soil. I like a fool laid concrete in my entire backyard. The stress from buying a new build during covid made me loose my mind. So EVERYTHING Is grown in moving bins. I grew lovely corn last year I didn't know what I was doing but hey it worked. I dropped seeds last week & they're on their way again. Let's hope I have a repeat & you have better luck. I enjoy you're videos alot sis. Thanks for helping me learn.

Hi! Great vid Beautee in the Garden. To fight the silk worms without using BT, I used mineral oil and a syringe. My corn came out perfectly. All you have to do is add it to the silk and squeezed some into the top of the ear. The mineral oil smothers the silk worms and other pests. The local extension office can tell you how much mineral oil to use. I think it’s like 1 or 2 tablespoons.👍🏾

Hi Tee, I started my corn indoor in zone 7. It's still pretty cool here still. My corn is so tall my husband said he see corns growing. Lol but I will put them out the end of next week. The nights should be about 60 but I can't wait any longer. Last summer my corn got caught in a frost and didn't grow well at all. didn't want to put them out too early. Next year won't start them till middle of april.
