- This video will look at how DC characters have evolved in Lego Batman videogames by taking all the characters from the original Lego Batman the Videogame and comparing them to all other Lego DC games such as Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham and Lego DC Super-Villains

We can all agree Lego Batman 2 was the best the semi open world experience was perfect
For me the 1st was the best and the most climatic, the open world in 2 was boring, 1st lego marvel did a lot better in this aspect imo

The fact that metropolis and Gotham city exist in the same map but you can also visit the amusement mile and almost the entire roster from lego batman 2 makes a comeback makes dc super villains feel like a reboot to that game and that is awesome
I agree because everytime I free roam in that game is nostalgia and in DC super villains there is just no nostalgia also free roam in DC super villains is smaller in my opinion and boring and Lego Batman 2 had fun free roam I would play for hours lol
Lego Batman 2 is my second favorite lego game. It is an absolute masterpiece
The fact that they didn't have Killer Moth or Hush in Supervillains saddens me.

A lot of the villains in lego Batman 3 are only available through dlc, hence why they have movie designs.

I love how Bane has looked essentially the same since day 1, only his mask has changed significantly.

@@gordonpeterson678 The only change in his pants is when they went from blue to black between Batman 1 and 2. The mask has changed more, and even then it's only noticeable in LB1.
How does lego DC super villains have 270 characters but not have Killer Moth, Bruce Wayne, or Hush.

They had to make room for more awesome characters. The better question is why later installments refrained from using zsasz lmao LEGO batman 1 and 2 for the DS the little kids game had zsasz but no console installments had him not to mention Black Mask lmao

I can't explain why but Lego Batman 2 is true masterpiece in my opinion. There is something in it that makes it awesome.

Something about the hair just didn't look that good for LB2. I think that's why they changed it later on
I love how even In Lego form they where able to display the current (with the acception of lego batman 2) style the batman had at that time, starting with classic Batman's aesthetic in 2008s Lego batman, the new 52s batman in 2014s Lego batman 3 and the rebirth batman in 2018s Lego DC Super villains. The same could be said about most of the characters actually, their designs are consistent with the current comic costumes

really wish in lego Batman 2 they had Jason Todd as Robin to line up the 4 robins. Dick Grayson (Lego Batman 1) Jason Todd, (In Lego batman 2 it's Dick Grayson as well) Lego Batman 3 is Tim Drake, and Dc Super villains has Damian Wayne.

I don’t know why but I really like the original two face from the first Batman Lego game
there was a lego Batman game that was for ipad, and it looked more like mini games, but it was still fun. It started with Bat-Gang training, Scarecrow's plane chase with entire fleets, Catching Fear Gas Pumpkins, Bane's Training, Penguin Games at Iceberg Club, Riddler's Mazes, Mr. Cold, plug the pipes in Killer Croc's hideout, the Joker's Bowling, the Joker's Henchmen Helicopter Flight, the pimboll machines, etc. Does anyone else remember this game?
Oh my god I’m so glad someone else knows about this. I’ve always tried to find pictures or videos from the game but I’ve had no luck. It was so much fun

What happened to Alfred lmao? I know he's the design from Lego Movie 2, and it's a crime that they didn't include regular Alfred, who is literally seen in the Superboy (Jon Kent) quest to unlock him, but whatever. I still really like his new design lmao.
The game gives you all the parts of alfred's regular body to create him in the customizer, i think he's a secret character or something like amanda waller.

Alfred is dead in the comics. That explains his absence here, since these games and the characters designs in them are based on the current looks and stories in the comics.

I actually think that LEGO Batman 2 has better quality than LEGO Batman 3. LEGO Batman 3 made the characters a little bit too shiny and they look like they're made of glass.
Actually, I would argue that they either overstepped with the design on the characters (e.g. make the Mad Hatter more mad) or make them really generic (Rals-Al Gul). Though yeah, Batman 3 really doesn't sit well with me.
Are you kidding me a lot of the designs in LB3 look better,and that shiny look is the best I’ve ever seen,because in reality they’re plastic. A lot of people wish that returned in LDCSV,sadly it did not.

Robin in DC Supervillians is Damian Wayne. The OG Robin from Lego Batman 1-3 is Red Robin which is another character.

yeah I agree, I think the 2 and 3 suits tone the colours down too much to a point where it gets boring. 4 is a good Damian design, but it is very obviously Damian and can't really represent the 'idea of Robin' (where it can really be any iteration), like 1 does.

They did him dirty,and a lot of the big figs look terrible in LDCSV. Also how do you get Death Stroke and Deadshot wrong without their helmets. Really LDCSV only has the openworld offering,because there’s no option to replay The story without starting over. Free Play becomes less fun,when I can just fly up with Superman or Bizarro and quickly end the level.
