Keep an eye on 28 on UT's defense. Freddy Steinmark. He died from bone cancer within 2-3 years of this season. There's a netflix show about him. very interesting.
I think you may be referring to the movie My All American, which is a bio pic of Freddie Steinmark. Fun fact, Juston Street portrays his dad Texas QB James Street in the movie.
Back in the day on the night before the game Commerce Street was the place to party. One side of the street are Texas fans & the other side Oklahoma fans. Trucks going down Commerce with fans & loads of beer.
This must be a Sony Betamax recording rather than the lower quality VHS standard. VHS won the videotape format war for home recorders because of a lower price, but TV stations and networks all used more expensive Betamax recorders because of their clearly superior image quality..
I know I watched the game....much to the chagrin of my father and beloved brother in law who graduated from OSU. I attended The University of Missouri Rolla
1969 was also a great year for the University of Missouri-Columbia, just up Highway 63 from Rolla. That year, Missouri handed OU a 44-10 shellacking in Columbia.
It blows my mind that I'm able to watch a football game from 55 years ago. Thank you for uploading this.
Quality of this video is better than some games I’ve seen from the 90’s
Agree. The resolution is incredibly high for a 1960s video recording.
Classic football 🏈 game complete with ads from the time outstanding 😀
I was 7 years old when I watched this game on tv in Austin and of course the Longhorns went on to win the National Championship.
Excellent picture quality!
RUclips is as close to a “time machine” as you can get…

28:05. “Street has thrown only 17 times this year.” Different era.

Oh hell yeah?
The cops caught me mugging with a girl in the bushes at TX- OU Friday night. Lol they chewed me out cuz she was wearing OU gear(the enemy)

I think this is a pre-Beta format

Jess Chabot…. your channel is becoming my favorite …by any chance do you have the 1971 Oklahoma vs Texas game live
Thanks
Ohio State punted away the National Championship with a collapse at Michigan. Texas capitalized
