Thanks, couldn't find a review on this and it helped me move along to something else

Good - Yeah, there just wasn't much out there on this so I had hoped to help others. I did find one that I'm liking right now, the H&A (Hammer and Anvil) Carbon fiber one from Adorama (It's their own internal brand), but I was able to purchase at a student discount price since I'm in film school, and not sure I would recommend at full retail price which is approaching the price a K-tek and others. I hope to do a review on it in the coming weeks as a follow up. But I'm neck deep in two documentary projects right now and don't have a lot of time - but I did catch your channel and sub'd, as I enjoy seeing documentary style vids and enjoyed your content.

@@MOMENTSbyRonSonedecker Thanks! Hoping to do more this year. 2020 kind of put a stop to in person videos. Just picked up a new Blackmagic 6k Pro so our videos are about to jump in quality significantly.
And I'll check that boom pole out. We really just need something that won't fall apart and will extend to a decent length. It will almost always just be on a c-stand, and I'm tired of using old monopods as makeshift solutions. An internal XLR would be nice to save a little time on setup. We'll see!

@@FilmGuyProductionsTX What were you shooting on before? I will watch for your new vids coming soon!
The H&A boom pole at $299 is probably not something worth your investment but you'll know best- IMHO it's only a good deal at the $199 I got it for (edu discount). There's probably a few boom poles under $199 that would really work for you if it's going to be in the C-stand most of the time. The Marantz was just too "unrefined" and cheap for me.

@@MOMENTSbyRonSonedecker We have been shooting on Canon 5DIIIs for the past 6 years or so. I'll check those out! Might just end up looking for a quality used one since we won't be using it that often.

All excellent comments and all very good reasons not to buy that. It’s a shame for that price point and you said it was $200 retail, totally unacceptable. Thank you for the heads up.
