It is a very good BBC drama and the case illustrates how people who may be a bi t lonely and vulnerable can be taken advantage of. I was glad to hear the murderer has been required to pay some money back to the families of the two victims.
In cases like this i always wanna dig deeper: what is it that went so severely wrong with Ben Field? How could it have been prevented? Nobody is born that way, so WHAT happened for him to act the way he did? How was he treated when he was a kid, what kind of trauma did he go through? Not to justify anyone's crime but to understand where things went wrong. I want to understand the background of human behavior. Nobody gets up in the morning intending to do the worst things possible to get to prison for the rest of their life. There's always a path that led them to where they are at now.
The C of E deny he was about to begin ordination training. His father was a Baptist minister, not a Vicar. Some Diocese now use this case in their safeguardingtraining to illustrate how people can manipulate churches.
This is going to be on in Australia this month…..what a creepy person that Ben was drugging and trying to groom Ann…..the trailer gave me the chills…so I looked up RUclips and found a documentary from Thames Valley Police Op Nasbey…interviewing Peter’s family and I could not believe someone would be so cruel…it’s bizarre.
Ben Field seemed to have a lot of empathy since he knew exactly how to draw people in, he had a great sense of understanding of what his victims wanted on an emotional level as he teased them along like a high skilled fisherman reeling his catch. Surely if he lacked empathy, he would not have had this ability to connect.
Horrible story but this situation proves how ridiculous people are when they think somebody else wants to take care of them when most people have their own agenda Elderly people are somewhat naive about how people really are but then these suburban people living in their safe neighborhoods couldn't believe there are people such as this exist.
People are neither ridiculous nor naive when we become elderly. No more truth in that than were I to say young people who are young are manipulative & evil. Ben Field was clearly both able & willing to present himself to his victims as a loving & holy person. His lies & religious cosplay in Ep 2 show that he had an exceptional lack of empathy or fear of his actions & intentions being rumbled. There is no reason or actual evidence that babies are born innocent. A human brain can have so many epigenetic, genetic aspects to its formation even before any environmental or medical factors apply, that it's still a mystery to science. Such as it is we are responsible for our personal brain & Ben Field let HIS do awful things to other people. No excuses!

One of or probably the most bizarre and strangest story. When i saw the old people kiss ben field i was absolutely flabbergasted.
I found the lengths shown that Ben Field went to in his cruel trickery of people of good standing made me feel physically ill.

Thank you, I was also wondering this.

Feel and think the same.
David Wilson was interrupted who’ll explaining about the new series. I thought the interviewers were quite rude.

David Wilson is a complelling guest. I love his segments! Maybe not the topics.

Incredibly, stupendously, dull. The story is compelling, but the telling is utterly lifeless.
Also sounds exactly what Meghan did to Harry. Hmmmmm
