Lots of people are complaining that it'll be too generic, but seeing as it's the same devs as Bulb Boy I have faith that this will be a great body horror/eldritch horror game. They're masters of atmosphere.
Bulb Boy already had infinitely more interesting art direction in the first few minutes and was using things such as domestic abuse in a way more subtle way than "what if the weird father mouse literally beats you with a belt when you gameover" though. This feels like the people behind it unlearnt everything they learnt when making bulbboy.

Why are his hands gross? Because so many of these artists go out of their way to make stuff visually grotesque, like MeatCanyon. Body Horror. I can see how people might find it visually interesting but it just feels like it's for cheap shock value imo.

I think the problem with overusing grotesque looks its that when everything is gross, nothing is, same reason why I lost interest in Meatcanyon despite him making really cool stuff sometimes, other times its the same tricks, different theme

Horror is my favorite genre but a lot of it ends up being bad and this is the case here. The biggest sin that horror can commit is not being scary. And making pop culture characters gross looking is not scary, jump scares are also not scary, it's all just very cheap. And it's all this has going for it.
Man I really wish Vinnys views on horror games like this wasn't clouded by exe games or actual slop horror mascot games, because I actually think this was pretty cool and at least different then what most horror indie games are trying.
