Thank you so much, you have no idea (maybe you do) that you are affecting people in a positive way, I am so grateful for what you are doing, I want to live your life ❤
It’s nice to hear that my ramblings have a positive effect. I couldn’t ask for anything more. My life is simple and simple to achieve. My ‘Shangri-La’ video, coming in about a week, goes back to basics, and how we can all tailor our lives to our individual needs. Hope you enjoy it. 😊👍🐕🦺🐾
Great job narrating Nigel. I couldn't do it because I become speechless taking in the scenery. I first listened with my eyes closed, then again observing with you. Please be careful with your footing and be nice to the crows. I learned last week through a news channel "fyi" that crows remember faces and they hold grudges for years (up to 14-17 years?) if you wrong them. lol. On another note, I had to search the internet for that brief macabre history lesson you provided on the Moors - never knew of this. Interesting...
The ‘Moors Murderers’ as they are know killed several children my age. So, if they lived they could be out on my walks with me. When you mentioned crows it brought up a memory of being told that crows were very intelligent. Perhaps they should be running the country.
Truly lovely walk Nigel , dear little Molly she is so busily engaged in sniffing and investigating , that’s a very long walk for her but she seems to manage it very well still 💕
She loves her walks. We were only half way through. We carried on after filming. I let her go at her own speed. We end up going really slow, but she just loves being outside, sniffing, saying hello to people and just sitting watching the world go by. ❤️😊🐕🦺🐾
What a lovely teatime treat! ❤ Well Nigel, you've taken me somewhere I've never been before. Thank you 😊 I wondered where your secret paradise was. You didn't used to be able to get through the fence just past "our" bench. My dog would sometimes sneak through though. How long has the fence been broken? I'd no idea how wonderful it is off the beaten track. You must have sturdy ankles to walk on that slippery woodland slope. Last time I walked down the steep slope at the start of your walk, my knees nearly buckled. I must be getting old, it was easy once upon a time. It was going up that knackered me! I'm kind to squirrels. Years ago, I found one lying still but breathing, at the foot of a tree. I went home worrying about it. That night I switched the telly off half way through "Corrie" (don't watch telly these days) jumped in the car and drove all the way back up Rivi to check on it. Don't know what I intended doing when I got there... but sadly it had gained its wings. No more falling from trees for Sydney Squirrel! 😢 Looking forward to your Spring video. The Broom should be coming into flower around May... that's if it's still there. Have you seen it growing up the iron railing where the holly berries are? I always used to stand for a moment on the bridge listening to the babbling water as my dog went in for a paddle. Lovely memories. Thank you. Now I'm going to rewind, sit back, eyes closed, and listen to your dulcet tones. Peace and love ❤ Edited: It's not Lupin it's Broom 😂
Poor squirrel. I’m a bit of a softy when it comes to animals. That fence has been down for a couple of years. I used to get annoyed with people going in, but then it got so busy on the paths that I started going in. I’ve filmed a few videos in there. A bunch of Eritrean channel canoeists were camping in there last summer. We don’t need that! 😊
I actually closed my eyes and followed you describing the walk and then watched it ....what absolute beauty thankyou so much ❤❤❤ hugs to Molly and you 🌹
Thank you so much for this extended walk in the Lancashire countryside. Just beautiful and a soothing prelude to my bedtime here on the other side of the world
Instead of watching as I normally do, I decided to only listen ( while I was ironing!) and found it a really interesting experience, rather like an audio book which i also enjoy.Thankyou 😊
Because my internet is slow most times, I've learned to start the videos and let them spool up for a minute or two. Reading your comment as I'm waiting, I decided to listen with my eyes closed. So relaxing. I wanted to cheat and peak several times. Now I will go back and see how accurate my imagination was. Lol!
I was a little disappointed, Kath. It could be better. I was too conscious of the camera. I’m going to do another in Spring, when the world is more ‘alive’ and I can ignore the camera and concentrate on the narration. 😊❤️
😂😂 I know what you mean! We say ‘squirr el’ and I think you might say it more ‘squirrl.’ My flat Lancashire accent does tend to dull out the vowels. My mum grew up in a town about 5 miles from where we lived when I grew up, so her accent is different from mine, and she hates mine. 😊❤️🍁🐕🦺
I went along this journey with you and Molly while I exercised on my elliptical machine. You two are living your best lives, thank you for sharing ✌️❤️
That was great. I just listened to your video while working in my shop carving spoons today. It was soothing and peaceful. I love the woods, the smells, and the leaves crunching.
You have a kind, happy voice. While I listened, the thought came into my head that you were acting like a fairy tour guide in his woods. I enjoyed thinking of you and Molly on the bench laughing over the magic you weave for us….fanciful, I know, but it was comforting. Thank you.
A lot of Molly time today (!) to go along with my enjoyment of your meditative, nature video and commentary in the English countryside. Very well done. Greetings from New Hampshire.
I got my headset and cleared away the lunch things, and your voice was really calming me down - of course, I was drawn to the screen some times! Then I managed to sip 3 (!) cups of herbal tea and when you got back to the car park I decided to go out for a walk of my own before starting any new task! Our weather is quite the same here! Cast over, refreshingly cool, dry rustling leaves and that smell! Thank you for the walk and talk! 🍂🐕🤗🍁🍂🌲🐦⬛🌳🐿️ Peace and Love to all 💚🪷

This was marvelous! I often use your videos like a podcast on my daily long walks. I download older and newer ones and listen on headset. I can still hear the sounds of nature but enjoy your narrative as well.
I have uploaded one to be released in a few days. The ‘Shangri-La’ one coming soon. I’m out with Molly and decided to listen to make sure the upload was ok. It actually sounded really nice as a podcast. It has music at the end that bounces from ear to ear. It made my eyes roll a bit. 😳😊

When I don't hear bird chatter at my place I figure that one of the hawks is out and about making it's rounds! 😏 The birds go into "hush mode"!
I know what you mean. We have plenty of Kestrel, Buzzards and the odd Red Kite. Everywhere goes quiet when they are quartering the ground.

What’s asmr? Is it a respiratory condition from all those damp leaves?
It's Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. There are many content creators out here on YT.
