It would be awesome to see you guys build a 347 stroker using Australian Cleveland aluminum cylinder heads. Make it like a Boss 302 which only came in the 69-70 Mustang and some Mercury cougars. Even the P-38 Heads the Stacy David shows on gears that John Kasse built are pretty sweet.
Tess, you guys should put out more content! Tony Is Definitely a Very lucky man. Tess, you are one of the most beautiful ladies I have ever seen, and I love watching your videos, and as I watch SRC it's Always a pleasure to see you and Tony on your visits to Ohio. God bless you guys, and give us more videos!🌹❣️
Well this video answered my question in the last update, glad too see you stuck with the same model of car for the entire set up. Thanks for the update you two!!! Can’t wait too see what’s next
My mom and dad had a Mod Maverick brand new and it had the 302 Boss engine and 4 speed manual gearbox and it came with the chrome sidepipes from Ford. Nice to see someone running one in the quarter mile 👍
Dude has a bunch of great metal sitting around his yard... The Mavericks are Comets are a great keep. That 72 f250 4 door and late 50's f1 were nice to see also
My family owned three Mavericks, two 1972 and a 1975. I owned one from North Carolina originally and a Boss 302 crate engine, Ford top loader with Hurst competition plus and a 9" rear differential with Mustang suspension all four corners a nasty street car back in the late seventies. Broke a few Chevy owners and even a 70 Dodge 440. Good luck finding one. In 1970 you could buy one brand new for $1999.
My first car was a 1971 Mercury Comet. To this day, still don't miss it! Was crazy to watch your last Maverick wrecking, though. Can't wait to see what ya do with this one.
If you were heading a little further south of Arkansas, I have a 70 model I can sell you. No body work, paint, engine, or drivetrain required all there. Just needs wiring & interior. Absolutely rust free but it looks like you find your beater mine would be less effort to get ready. Oh well can’t wait to see your progress.
I love the low door releases in the 79 Mustang! I wasn't aware that the Maverick had this feature. I think DOT made them move them to the tops of the doors in case of a rollover, to be easier to reach to get out. The doors on the 2nd gen Ford GT and the AMG SLS have small explosive charges that blow the hinges off of the doors upon rollover.
When i was a teen the Mavs and Comets had rust issues when they were 5 yrs old. Not sure what ford was doing then but it was using some real low quality metal. Hope to see you back soon going for the stock block record.
Hey girl---old fart from N.H. here again. So happy to see you found another one. Lots of work ahead of course, but it seems like you're up to it. That guy is definitely a Ford guy ! Toward the end of that video, when you were panning around his collection, there's a '54 Ford (whitish color with what looked like maybe a rusty hood ?). I had one of those back in '68 that I put a 390, 375 hp state police interceptor engine in. Of course I cammed it, intake, 780 Holley, etc.. That was my 1st street race car and I kicked a lot of GM ass with it !!!! In '68 I had to fight off all the factory hotrods that we see on Barrett Jackson today with my homemade car. Like CJ says "built not bought". OK, I've bored you enough. I'll be watching !!
That is a great shell and frame, and you need not strip off too much as he already did. Get that thing stripped down to bare metal, and a good body man could do wonders with it! MISS MIDNIGHT MAVERICK, IS GOING TO BE MAVERICKING AGAIN SOON! After an injection of cash, and a whole Lotta hard work, and replacement of a lot of parts of course.
I rode with My grandpa in his 72 maverick back in the day and I hated that 3 on the tree shifter and the car really but i sure do love them mavericks now....
That thumbnail is ON Point😏. It's the definition of beauty. Kepp up the great work and awsome video as always! P.S. That second car you bought doesn't look bad at all! Also I would sand blast it or even better have it acid dipped and that will shave a good bit of weight off of it and that will definitely help a good bit. Lastly Congratulations on finding your replacement😊. I look forward to you getting in the driver seat once again.
Glad to see you have another one to start on, wth was that Maverick with the funky nose on it. Was that human error or a half hearted factory effort to be something different? Looks like he had plenty of options to start with, i was digging the 4 door until i seen him pick the back glass out of it. Body damage doesnt bother me but trash interior is a deal breaker, race car doesnt matter though
Paid a $100 for a 71... Had tools in the back and all it needed was the radiator repaired, small pin hole... Sold it to a buddy for $300 2 days after I drove it home with out doing anything to it... Buddy had rolled his lifted 4x4 and needed something to get to work with...
id love to see u guys find a mavrick grabber. speifically a 71-72 with the "double bump" hood. itll compliment the other "double bumps" that have become such an integral part of the channel.
replacing a quarter panel is hard lol . come on ! ive done full tube chassis with all alum floors and firewalls take 2 people 3 days with a pinto body ! mavericks are even easier !
Now see, there is your body man, offer Craig a Socal vacation with a couple of Socal area Pacific beach days, and a few days of hotel stay and a couple day win of working with Tony & Tess in the shop, there is your egg-cellent body man right there and request the full on quarter panel replace spa treatment courtesy of Craig E!
Tess, next time your in ohio theres a place in ARCANUM, OHIO called American Muscle Car LLC its about 1.5 to 2 hrs west of Bills house and they have new maverick 1/4 panels for $499.99 maybe you could get a deal if you advertiise them on your channel. Putting used quarters on sucks you'll be happier with new.
My car has one at the bottom of the door on driver's side and with the door x on the cage I can get out the car on the passenger side is up higher and has to be opened from the outside lol
Can’t wait to see the build and thank god for guys like that that save the old metal

Damn.. I love the old maverick grabber hoods! Looks like he had a few gems sitting around for some nice race cars.
Well this video answered my question in the last update, glad too see you stuck with the same model of car for the entire set up. Thanks for the update you two!!! Can’t wait too see what’s next

So glad you guys are back doing videos! 😃👍
Hell yeah! I'm excited for you both can't wait to see this thing killing it.
Love it!! Videos just get better and better. Not a bad old car. Can't wait for the next vid!
I know this build will be really nice. Looking forward to the progress and the final outcome.

Looks like a good canvas to start with !
Love the commentary in Ohio on the Maverick truck. Such a point of contention with those of us that collect the "Classic" Ford Mavericks!
The Maverick mother load! Nice! Can't wait to see how it goes. I think I'm gonna finish my Maverick again...
I-20 Texas exit 217 South side. Yellow and white with the factory hood dual scoops sitting in a field next to an old oil service company shop.
Love maverick’s and 🦊 body ford powered. Can’t wait to see y’all get it built like you want it and back racing it good luck 👍🏻

The Maverick will be perfect. That crew cab ford pick up 68 or so.
When i was a teen the Mavs and Comets had rust issues when they were 5 yrs old. Not sure what ford was doing then but it was using some real low quality metal. Hope to see you back soon going for the stock block record.
Ford is #1 and love All your videos can't wait to see what you all get into with Bill and The boys
The original maverick must have a lot of salvageable parts. Price was right for the roller. Good luck. Will be watching.

The lower door handle started mid 73. They can be switched to the armrest style if you desire.
I'm happy to see this, can't wait to see her get built and hit the track. Good luck with everything, I will be watching.
Hopefully not literally hit the track.
@@tasharead5379 lol, got me there.
Hit the "track" is OK, just stay off the wall !!
@@bradchandler6967 stay between the mustard and the mayonnaise as they say on the streets.
@@9168TimGlass Yes Tim, the mayonnaise hurts at the track every time !!
Congratulations on your new car Tess 💪

Hello from México 🇲🇽👋🇲🇽👋🇲🇽👋
That 4 door reminds me of Gapp and Roushs Tijuana Taxi ..
That thumbnail is ON Point😏. It's the definition of beauty. Kepp up the great work and awsome video as always!

Lmao, i was hoping for him to make a field lap on that car and go make a pull for a 2nd gear chirp myself
Cool up-date
I know of a few in Bakersfield
Unkle Bucko could fix that body panel. I drive Bill nuts doing it
Great video!
Nice job finding a new Maverick. Is the guy you purchased that one from, selling any other one's?
Paid a $100 for a 71... Had tools in the back and all it needed was the radiator repaired, small pin hole... Sold it to a buddy for $300 2 days after I drove it home with out doing anything to it...
Buddy had rolled his lifted 4x4 and needed something to get to work with...
Should be shopping for a four door , yeah you know damn well why..... 😎😎
Mavericks are one of my favourite cars, but a 76 ranchero or on the smaller side a g body thunderbird would be above the maverick for me.
Watching you from The Philippines
I enjoyed this video
Check with Bobby DeCote... He likes them Mavericks he might know one is or he might want to sell his old one...
Michigan!! When and where??
BADAZZ
id love to see u guys find a mavrick grabber. speifically a 71-72 with the "double bump" hood. itll compliment the other "double bumps" that have become such an integral part of the channel.
I have a 69 1/2 as well that has the grabber spoiler and hood on it. That one’s just a little street car.
